I also agree with the criticism that Combat-EX should not be playing D/D- players when recording his FPVODs. It gives viewers the impression that he's REALLY GOOD and also gives them the sense that all his strategies will work when they only tend to work if your opponent is WAY worse than you. And just about any decent player can find a really really bad player and use any strategy they want and still win. Heck, even at pro level we see some ridiculous stuff being done solely for the purpose of humiliation. Like Bisu making a fleet of scouts against Hwasin in (I believe it was) Daum OSL 07. | ||

He says people on TL.Net are bashing him and flaming but this was alot more civilized(or w/e >_>) than I thought it would be. I thought people would just say "OMG HE ABUSED HE SUCKS DICK GO KILL UR SELF" but its not thankfully. I think he's sorta blowing this out of proportion  The most people "support" him I think is really I think there just being blind fanboys. This is true on SC2GG a little(I've been a member there for a while so I'm not flaming SC2GG at all) but defending with "He takes time to post videos and help noobs". If I took 10 minutes out of my day I could post a 3 minute video on how to defend a 4 pool too. Mmm ok thats not fair yeah, because you post alot of games doesn't mean your allowed to be instantly forgiven. The vast majority of players don't aspire to have the respect and admiration of the masses the way CombatEx does. This guy wants to be respected for his ability to play starcraft so bad that he will cheat lie and deceive others. I'm just here in this thread trying to argue against 1) cheating/dishonesty, 2) bragging, 1+2) cheating so you can brag, 3) teaching "poisonous" (as Artosis says) strategies to newbies. The only adult replies here are those saying "Well at least, he is good at building a fan base". But I'm sorry, after what I've experienced I don't really think that weights as much | ||
