Retire from competitive starcraft, but play for the fun of it?
For someone like ret it doesn't work like that. Six months ago whenever I would tell him I liked a replay or how he played good he would respond with 'yeah I played alright, its not like before when I was a top non-korean thou ...'. For some players the thrill is the achievement, not just the game.

dont quit winning tournaments wont mean anything if i just have to beat the newbies

I totally support your decision. It took me a long-ass time to quit SC; I had to destroy all of my disks and uninstall (for some reason I have like five working versions of StarCraft). Then I would just download the virtual disks....
I've been off for like six months now and it's definitely been better.
Good luck man.

I just saw your game on othello vs kr from the ESL major series
DAMN I've rarely ever seen a comeback that beautiful, it would be really really sad if you quit, we'd lose clearly the best foreigner out there right now, if you don't count idra as foreigner. If it really fucks up your life that bad it's understandable, but if you should quit make sure you really really make somethign outta your life ^^
I know those phases when I'm like "ok i gotta quit doing this, it wastes so much of my time" then I do quit but still waste a lot of time with other, maybe even much more useless stuff
