I started watching proleague on PLU and love the chinese commentary. I wanna keep a list of all the cool names the chinese have for notable players. Please add any you may know (Emlary, need your help here). Here's the list so far:

lots of these references are to wuxia stories. even the nicknames for strategies. so an all-in cheese is called "大招" meaning "ulti." like the ulti of a warcraft 3 hero.

Let me note one mistake/concern.
As mentioned, Flash is 教主, which can mean several things, but mostly refers to a religious or cult leader. However, popular Chinese novels give this some other meanings (will be explained below), so I will say that 教主 = "cult leader" for now.
Sea and Mind are referred as 右护法 (right-side guardian of the cult leader), 左护法 (left-side guardian of the cult leader). These terminologies strictly refer to a certain novel which uses these days.

OK here it goes.
In a popular Chinese novel, 教主 (cult leader) refers to a certain person who is extremely skilled in martial arts; not only that, he has a lot of followers who either admire him or want to learn the techniques or styles from him (hence a cult). This refers to Flash because Flash is an extremely good terran player.
However, since the cult is so big, 教主 (cult leader) also have some subcoordinates. Two of his most important ones are 右护法 (right-side guardian of the cult leader) and 左护法 (left-side guardian of the cult leader). This refers to Sea and Mind also being very good terran players, but not as good as Flash.
