I used to be C/C+ a few months ago, and i just hit C- with 20-8. Doesn't seem that difficult.
Although my PvP games were kinda close. I see a lot of dt rushes on destination, so I just make sure I get obs early, then it's pretty much an easy win, after their dt's do absolutely no damage, and they are behind unit count by having mostly slow zealots vs reaver/goon

I wouldn't say that I'm much worse now than before, and iccup level has probably not increased that much in just two months. I'm just amazed of how good game sense (ESPECIALLY in late game) some of those guys have at D. It's like they are really experienced. He kept expanding, countering my unit mix, good army control and a lot better macro than me, haha.
He only lost because he started recalling out of frustration for not being able to break my front. He also might have made too many probes, I believe he was 200/200 most of the time in lategame, while I was usually around 130/200.
All in all, it was pretty fun game, packed with arbiter against DA action and a lot of intense encounters. It made me want to start playing actively again. I miss massgaming.

(of course I'm just saying that to get to play some more pvp's with you; I still remember some awesome 1 hatch muta games from Yarnc).
At this point I'd say ICCup is a complete crapshoot. You can run up against almost anybody and against people who have played anybody so who knows what'll happen. When you get some more games in things should average out. That game was probably a combination of rust on your part and the other guy being better at pvp/the style that game played out than his record would imply.

Hell. I'm even doing better with my off races than my main race. I think mostly because I play so safe with terran and all these morons keep 10/15 gating, fast DT:ing, fast roboing to no avail...

It certainly is not. Though I doubt there's too much difference at lower levels
Oh and if you're floating enough minerals to buy 140 psi in zealots and you're not near maxed, your opponents might seem a bit harder than they actually are. Very sweet DA usage though.

this season is damn insane, the first month hasnt finished and already the whole front page is A- and its spilling over onto the second page, that happened near the end last season, god looks like this season the whole front page will be A+

Maybe its just my imagination, but it seems like at the D level there's a lot of more one trick ponies than before. When I first started it seemed like a lot more people had a solid, standard game, but now everybody will do weird cheesy builds, and once it fails, they just fall apart.

You probably just played difficult opponents. I have really good stats ATM and you are a far, far, far better player.
