Well I bought fatal1ty mouse (long time ago) it cost around 36 dollars (hefty prize) though rebate of 40 dollars so I got back 4 dollars. It lasted 4 months, now I know why they sold bad profit :D

Iono...I'm thinking of picking one up because it's a normal-sized keyboard (my logitech g11 is too fucking big to transport), is known for being playable with for SC, has hangul on it, and is cheap. $30 isn't TOO bad for a keyboard, and I hardly use any of the extra functions on this thing anyway.
Equipment isn't too much of an issue, though. People will play better with whatever they're used to.

i've always blindly bought the steelseries stuff because the build quality is really nice, i'm sure all that mumbo jumbo they use to sell it might be true, but i just like the look/quality
price sucks though

Coming from FPS games where mouse/skates/pad are a much bigger deal, I'd say there definitely is a placebo effect. The mini is such an extreme difference that it may be different, but in terms of general mouse tweaks it's usually just in your head. Even if there is a true improvement, such as with overclocking a USB port, the difference is physically minuscule.

I have a mini optical, it's pretty good except it's missing a mouse skate. I took the weight out too. Yeah, it's not amazing, but it's light, fast, and small - which makes it comfortable for a fingertip grip. I do not think I would be worse if I had a Logitech G3, or a Razer Salmosa or another similar small mouse.
