This 3995 C- (so damn close to C) zerg just 5 pooled me... and my ranking was 3070. What the fuck? Why? He then transitioned into all-in muta of course like the faggot he is...
He probably 5pools every single game to get to C... what a noob.

A little sort of "trick" iv picked up however for determining if people are good in the low ranks is that if people have even numbers of points in the D to C- ranks they are more often good players than people with odd points like 2873. This is since good people who play their own rank usually wins alot and dont get odd numbers from losing 75 pointers at C- ect. This is of course no rule since good people can end up playing D vs D+ games ect, but more often than not when I play good people (good stats atleast) in the low ranks they have even numbers.

is a newbie blog. Saying newbie things. Points don't help dictate the strategy you do. Stats do. If you are 12-0 D+ odds are you will play standard vs a guy who is 22-14 D+.

Your reasoning might come in to play in a clanwar. If I faced a much better player and needed to win I might resort to cheese. A ladder game is more "meh".

It sucks because iccup is the place most people use to practice. I know one should be able to defend against "anything" if you are better, but when 75%+ of the games you play are some sort of all in it kind of losses its purpose (im not even kidding about the proxy and dt rushes).

You know that feeling when you played 20 games to get to some rank and then you just want to play the last game to get the rank and get the hell out of icc for a xyz days break, bragging about your new rank? Oh, and try to form your blog as some kind of a conversation starter, rather than just a short statement and question, offer your oppinion on it. Oh, and try to avoid calling others faggots and noobs, express your anger in different ways, like "shit hits the fan", "retribution" and "fluffed".

I do 8pylon, 10forge, 12cannon and the 12cannon warps in about three seconds after the lings are at your base. So if you pull seven or eight probes just to keep them busy, you should be fine. I never lose to 4 or 5 pools unless you scout him absolutely last. Then you have no indication to pull probes and you might lose, but that is pretty fucking lucky for him then. I did scout last... well last out of three. And yes, I held it off, obviously, by the fact that I said he transitioned into all-in muta ![]()

A lot of people play to win. That's just the reality of it, don't try to deny it. Maybe you should focus on winning a game like this next time... cause when I get cheesed, I think "good for him, he got a cheap win, but I should get better at defending against this if it happens again"

With Zerg I've gotten so used to dealing with cheese that I actually like it when the opponent cheeses me, but getting my gas stolen, manner pylon'ed and etc. fucking blows as a Terran.

For some reason my marines couldn't attack thte zealots even though they were right in front of them in my wall and he broke it down, gg I hate when weird shit like that happens. Like for example, on python, at the 6 o clock base, try landing reavers to the left of the minerals to shoot the probes. Very often the reavers do not shoot. They shoot more often if you target fire, but if you a-move them or let them sit they do nothing like retards, even though they're definitely in range. Sometimes it doesn't work even when target firing... it's the most bullshit thing ever.

The best you can do is scout early and play safe. You scouted him at 3rd spot, that's just bad luck right there! If you play consistently, statistics is on your side. 4/5-pooling is not reliable.

But if you're talking about higher level gaming I think it's stupid to play just to win.
