I've played like 15 games of dedicated cheese, and lost every single one of them heavily, even against people who are like D after 100 games. Even 2 gate proxy inside the other guy's base failed. Please someone show me how I am supposed to cheese t.t somehow it just does not work at all for me.

Lol I guess iCCup has conditioned everyone who doesn't normally cheese to be incredibly anti-cheese effective now.

First off try being Terran. I find that proxy rax into a bunker rush is much easier to pull off than a proxy gateway sort of deal.

the first thing iccup teaches a new ladder player is cheese defense. successfully cheesing a player that is at the same level as you gets more and more difficult.

yeah it gets more and more difficult. Imagine the difficulty at progamer level. This is why Boxers and Nal_ras cheeses are so damn amazing.

Frankly, I make it a point not to cheese. I try to practice my standard play as much as possible, because it's so much more satisfying to stop a n00b with 3 control groups of zealots, goons, and maybe a reaver or two than to win with like 5 zealots.

(insert 1a2a3a joke here)

Hey, it worked for iloveoov... though granted i have done a proxy double robo on one of my friends before... hehehe.

That's actually happened to me a couple times, because I prefer cheese and fast games rather than long macro build ups. Its basically all up to how well Terran can micro his marines and if he sends in a couple of scvs or not. Makes it for a pretty intense game if your opponent is good and knows what to do.

you need to have better micro than your opponent. You also need to know how to follow up if your cheese were to fail/only do moderate damage. Basically a cheese game plan.

For example, many progamers 2 gate proxy on blue storm PvP and PvT, they expect to be scouted and countered, but also expect to deal moderate to large damage to opponents economy while building up their own economy/tech to get ahead.
Cheesing is actually pretty difficult if you aren't comfortable with it, the only tip is to cheese more and analyze on how make it failsafe. Most cheeses, especially with protoss are supposed to be failsafe against almost any build.

The success of cheese relies on the element of surprise mainly. So, on iccup everyone knows you will cheese and that means it no longer hinges on the surprise, but on your execution. However, I agree with the fact that if you are not used to doing strats like that you will have a hard time, even as protoss.

vs P it's amazing, because 2 cannons doesn't defend well against 3 control groups of lings >.>

and if you transition into hydra fast enough, you can just drone up and expand like sin, and most C level players can't deal with it.

Cannons inside his base.

It makes you worst than Hitler but is so easy to pull off against D players.

I think it was much vs bisu

Try it out like last time. With a touchpad.

Yes, and seriously, the first thing on iccup I always do is to check for proxy gates/raxx or 5-7 pool.

Strange, because the only time in 200+ iccup games I have been cheesed was a 5pool. Ive never had a terran or a toss cheese me. (I play toss)

You sir walk with angels on your shoulders, or lag extremely bad .

I think I've had about 1/6 games cheese on iccup in the last year. So I would say out of 3k games, 450-500 of cheese seems about right. More cheese at D/D+ and C+/B- en at C-/C imo.

Are you sure you play the same iccup as everyone else? Or is it that you cheesed every time during those 199 games before encountering someone who actually cheesed before you even got the chance (that person in turn was on his 199th game of cheese)? Circle of evil. . .

The easiest cheese to pull off is probably the 5 pool. Try it- no hotkeys needed maybe >.>

In my last 50 or so iccup games I've only been cheesed a few times. There's much more all-in builds, but I don't count them as cheeses.

I am slightly picky when choosing opponents though. If I say hi in the pre-game chat and they don't say anything back (even gl hf gogo is fine) I kick them.
No I'm never serious.
