In my last blog post I had revealed that I created a starcraft culture at the office. Today, i have gone a step further, creating a league :D THe system works like this: 2 groups (Group A and group B ;D) evenly distributed by race/skill level. Each group has 6 players/coworkers each - iccup rules - 1v1 only - i have to play random every game (and reveal my race at the beginning of the game). Some people are asking me to play without keyboard shortcuts to even it out lol
From each group, 4 players advance and on to the semis. The goal is to play all games on lunch breaks or after work and advance with the league that way. Everyone here is so excited cuz i built a chart and everything lol. Hope this works ^o^

haha, that's awesome. well done
prizes?!
|
thats awesome! wish i had something like that
so, your gunna beat everyone right?
|
without keyboard shortcuts? lol Does that mean they dont use keyboard shortcuts? or just that they use very few of them?
|
well, they are noobs, so there were several ways form me not to own them that hard 1. dont play protoss 2. dont play terran 3. play random 4. play lefty (yeah, invert mouse, use other hand) 5. play without hotkeys Some of them use some shortcuts, i have tried to make them learn, but they dont listen lol
About prizes... i dont know yet.. what do you guys suggest?

For prizes, just give them a place in the next league ^^. You know, like 1st-4th place auto qualify to RO8. That way you spend no money.
EDIT: Actually, trade hours. Make them have other employees do their work, etc.

nice lol youll prolly dominate tho

Play one-handed.
I've done that a few times versus bad people and it evens it out a lot. That way no keyboard shortcuts and no hotkeys either. It's all in the mouse

haha, im not gonna make them trade hours lol... then again.. i could use more free time... no! no! im not thinking that way!
bleh... anyways.. 1 handed? i dont know man haha ill try it today to see if that is too much of a handicap

Awesome mate!!! I'm trying to do the same in my school, almost succeeded in my class, and I'm gonna have a big sc tournament in the school soon to make other classes play!
Show them this so they understand hotkeys are good: (I'm refering mostly to the beginning)

btw: playing with one hand only isnt much of a handicap, I do that vs my D friends (I'm C-) and I beat them very very easily
