took me like 3 hours but i finally got windows xp and vista to share files with each other and now I'm using synctoy to sync my music collection between the two

gotta manually add "everyone" under security settings, not just permissions. you'll know it when you see it. it's gotta be the most unintuitive stupid decision ever. under vista/xp file sharing in the ms knowledge base they dont even mention this wtf? i had to google some obscure techy forum to find out. i mean wtf how did this get by testing? like the fact that file sharing didn't work unless you did some obscure tweak nobody thought that was a problem?

I stream video from my computer with vista to my laptop with xp over wireless, so I can watch on my projector. I move the video files to the computer's share folder or whatever it's called, and just set the computers to be open to sharing.

I was about to congratulate you and offer words of encouragement. This is one of the few times a bait title actually worked on me. So... well done.

I'm glad I had a vasectomy! At 50+ days after the procedure, I am as functional as ever, with only an occasional and very mild ache in the nuts. I recommend sterilization to anyone. It took 5 minutes, was virtually painless (the recovery was a little tough for the first week and a half, though).

Irony: some people associate sterilization with a loss of manhood. I wonder if those people have seen all the poor husbands out with the family, looking fat, stressed out, unhealthy, and utterly neutered, spiritually? Family men are boring. They have too much responsibility. (all this according to my taste, of course). I am glad I'll never have children!
