fight_or_flight: That's actually an interesting question. From my personal experience, a lot of Koreans are very manner, but also very interested in me. A lot of Koreans are rather vulgar to me, asking very sexual and grotesque questions that most foreigners would never say. Perhaps it is a cultural difference. Thanks, you summed that up pretty nicely. It's kind of hard for me to explain myself. LeafHouse: Yes, TL seems a really great forum. I'm enjoying it so far. Or on the flip side (it's OK, im bringing it back) if someones acting really BM the girls are usually quiet, so is it up to me to say something? In RL most definitely, but on bnet does that just come across as BM? You know, I don't feel like you have to apologize for the way your friends may normally act. If your female friends are like me, especially if they are hardcore or even casual gamers, they probably act similarly with people they game with and have no problem with it. They might even feel a bit perturbed if you are trying to 'protect' them from things like that. We don't really want to be treated differently (maybe sooometimes...) and we just want to be accepted as one of the guys. We like to think we are tough and can hang with the rest of 'em. I could be wrong, though. It also depends on the girl herself. You can't really generalize a whole gender like that. Eh, tough question you brought up. Idk, it just seems to me that it would be like beating a black player and saying 'man, you just got lynched.' -(I'm not racist, just an example.) I can't speak for every girl out there, but personally I never really even thought of it that way. It doesn't bother me at all. I raped a whole bunch of men last night.

To the op : Why the hell do you care ? Just fkin ignore it. Problem solved. We already have like 3 or 4 frenchs girls that played starcraft actively and never bothered about being beaten or whatever else you think... The ones that feel shamefull are mostly fucking idiots. Simple as that. She or he ? I don't care, if it can play decently i'd play 50 games a week if i want to. Remember "it" is a gamer beforehand.

Unfortuantly, the majority of gamers are nerds who have had little connection with girls. So they end up trying to be funny with jokes like "go make me some pie", or figure this is their big chance to finally hook in or something. Resulting in making themselves look like fools.
