i just wanted to ask people on this platform
why are people so gloom ?
why ? when i ask if/when blizzard will license sc2 to allow crazy people like me to finally organize LANs ..
why does everyone answer :
"you dumb, they will never do it!"
"sorry but it will never happen"
etc
WHY?
People will go so far as to patronize you if you ask that question!
They are 10 20 30 40 50 years old and yeah yeah they feel like they know what they are talking about!
Well i'm 50 and i answer :
"well to be sure, with that attitude, it will take longer for it to happen"

Blizzard stopped developing Sc2 and only have people mantaining the servers. Any change orlicensing or anything is very unlikely.

There are two differents problem, once licence is free, community can work on via kickstarter for example. Then ask to blizzard staff, streamer, etc, why let SC2 die.

Community cannot work on something that's not available.
Distribution of LAN-version of SC2 to everyone who wants it will not happen with 99% probability.
This cannot happen without quite a bit of effort from Blizzard side, and there's no one left in Blizzard who would be interested in this.

Believing we won't get LAN doesn't make one a pessimist, for much the same reason that believing the sun will rise again does not make one an optimist.

Hound come visit blizzard and talk with the people yourself. They will be able to explain better than us.
I say come visit blizzard because I live quite near the offices myself- I do not work for blizzard.
Seriously if you need lodging just bring a sleeping bag and ear plugs. I could put you up in the newly vacant other room of my apartment. At least, until the lease is up in late July. I'm outta here after that.
