Wow, first time in court. I was, at first, exhausted. I kept yawning and did not really know where I was to be honest. The court date said that I had to be there at 9AM. I went there early, 8:30AM. At any rate, I registered in, they wrote me in, I talked to the prosecutor and told him the story. Wow, people in court don't really care. I mean, they'll try to help you but that is it. They don't give a damn but then again, why would they? All they want is your money.
So basically, I was all nervous and shit when the judge showed up. He was a calm and smooth guy but again, a judge is a judge... at any rate, from 8:30AM, to around 11AM, I have waited, and he finally called my name so I went to stand. At first he said "...427" and I was like, "that's how much it's going to be?" and he told me no, that was the lesser fine. I tried to fight it down with the prosecutor and it worked. The "427 etc" was the number of the violation that was downgraded. Man, I did not even care now. It was mostly about food. I was starving.
I was like, FOOOOOOD, JUDGE, I WANT TO ORDER FOOOOOD. Gosh, glad it was speedy. So anyway, the prosecutor reduced it to $100 fine instead of $250(seriously, why so much? God...) and reduced the points to no points. I had to of course, pay a surcharge, which was $33. So my total was $133. So much for me freaking out, for people that said $400, it's a load of BS. Hah. But anyway, if you can avoid court, do so and eat well in the morning. My stomach was rumbling. Grr. Good day. <3

Told you lol. As long as you throw on a tie, don't act like a prick and have a clean record, you're usually in the claer.

Well, I didn't have a tie but a buttoned shirt, etc, which wasn't needed actually. They never cared about my record, I just fought it down and they said okay.

first time offenses are no biggie at all. Hell I have had 5 speeding tickets and each time they reduced it to the maximum. Be polite, look nice and you are fine generally

It makes me wonder why they are so nice about it though.

You pay about 10$ more and you get the same thing with an attorney, plus the added bonus of not even having to go to court in the first place.
