Usually, people should have to put some effort into getting a better looking portrait than the default Kachinsky portrait.
But Kachinsky, being the default, presents a unique problem as it is the most common portrait, which creates a negative externality, that everyone must suffer seeing this ugly portrait used by people everywhere (in chat channels, on loading screens, on streams, on the forum, etc.).
This is one of the top and persistent annoyances with SC2.
The default portrait should be something, while bland and unexceptional, not so outright ugly. Like the generic and nondescript planet above (it's Mar Sara).
This is one of the top and most persistant annoyances about SC2?
Why do people make these posts. At least I'll give you credit for a solution, but yeah...in my opinion, a pointless post. I don't like Protoss, so can I remove their portraits and make them planets as well? Just saying...
That's the reason I'm not playing sc2. Balance is perfect, every unit has it's unique role, the economy allows for diverse play styles, counters are exactly the right amount of hard, the graphics is the perfect amount of dark and the user interface is so smooth that I'm barely aware that it's there.
I like the negative connotation this portrait has. In higher leagues whenever you saw someone with it, you expected cheese or a smurf. Ugly faces for ugly strategies is what this game always needed.
