lol wp but I already know I can't report it. I don't need to though. I'm sure a mod will see it and decide what do but I'd rather TL made no exceptions for anyone in regards to blog quality otherwise we might as well bring back SoR, FP, Shauni and others who had some rather bizzare, odd and at times, interesting and funny blogs. Or random viewers think of Yoko blogs etcetc. Blog section in TL has forever been a place of madness and you have to respect that. Unless it gets offensive and the thread becomes a problem then there is no reason why it can't just live...some people might not of heard that song before. If a blog post is deemed low quality, it also gets closed. Yoko's posts weren't offensive but were deemed low quality because they made no sense. I think despite this blog having a point behind it (I clicked it because I saw the title reference), the formatting affects its quality. Anyways, I'm not trying to kill 'fun' on TL lol, but, I do think that this blog should at least have better formatting to maintain its open status. | ||

The NFL's 1st modern day black QB won his 5th Grey Cup in a row. RGee who? Steve Podborski became the first North American to win the World Cup season title in downhill skiing. Italy won the World Cup. its the only year the Vancouver Canucks lost in the Stanley Cup finals and half the vancouver police force didn't have to quell a riot. But, most importantly, our favourite software publisher that we all know and love... and love giving money to..... they became a super power in 1982. They released Enduro, Chopper Command, Pitfall ,and River Raid. These 4 games were 10,000X better than any other Atari 2600 games ever made. This gave the brand legendary status. 1982 was awesome. | ||

Because the Atari2600 was owned by a media company ( Time-Warner) some narrative had to be invented about why it went into a huge decline in 1983. So they invented the "video game crash of 1983". The bottom line is the Commodore 64 is 100X better and you could pirate every game. The Commodore 64 was the #1 game machine from the day it was released and crushed the competition. | ||

there are an incredible number of misunderstood bands from this time period and a flock of seagulls are no exception people ought to listen to at least the debut LP before passing judgement, and their follow-up "listen" is quite strong as well. The debut is quite dark and it's easier to appreciate this song's real theme of reaching for unattainable fantasies within the context of the album as a whole. the guitarist, Paul Reynolds I think, really gave the band a unique sound as well | ||

Although the C64 is called a "computer" it was a game machine. Modems were uncommon because you had to pay giant long distance telephone charges in 1982. In 1982/3 it was never used in the way we use computers today. Essentially, the C64 and Atari 400/800 were game machines. | ||
