Hey guys,
So I have fairly impressive internet, its not Google Fiber by any stretch of the imagination but ti gets the job done with over 100 Mbps down and a good enough 5 Mbps up. The problem is ever since mid October I have never been able to maintain a solid bit rate over 2000 Mbps with Twitch. It does not matter the server I use, I have replaced every piece of equipment imaginable and tried it across multiple computers at multiple times in the day. After months of aggravation I have now decided to just deal with it an optimize around a bit rate that averages UNDER 1000 Mbps.
DISCLAIMER: I use a fourth generation i7 processor (i7-4770K) which allows me to encode on "slow", if you do not have one beast of a CPU and/or GPU do not try this. It can over heat your CPU in a hurry.
The Results:
I found that with a monster of a computer, a person can still manage a decent stream with absolute shit upload. This optimization was worked around SC2 but for any League of Legends players can use this as well, simply skip to sample five which has added LoL notes.
Sample One: December 3rd - 2014 + Show Spoiler +Xsplit SettingsResolution: 1600 x 900 Frame Rate: 30 Strict CBR: Off (VBR Mode) Keyframe Interval: 2.0 Preset: slow Quality: 0
Sample Two: December 3rd - 2014 + Show Spoiler +Xsplit SettingsResolution: 1280 x 720 Frame Rate: 45 Strict CBR: Off (VBR Mode) Keyframe Interval: 2.0 Preset: slow Quality: 3
Sample Three: December 3rd - 2014 + Show Spoiler +Xsplit SettingsResolution: 1280 x 720 Frame Rate: 45 Strict CBR: Off (VBR Mode) Keyframe Interval: 2.0 Preset: slow Quality: 1
Sample Four: December 6th - 2014 + Show Spoiler +Xsplit SettingsResolution: 1280 x 720 Frame Rate: 45 Strict CBR: Off (VBR Mode) Keyframe Interval: 2.0 Preset: slow SC2 Quality: 2 LoL Quality: 6 EVR: Enabled GPU Anti Aliasing: MSAA Sample Count: 8 Quality:1 League of Legends Players: Simply adjust VBR quality as needed. I personally have the exact same settings with quality set to "6". League of Legends is not nearly as processor demanding so encoding at higher qualities at lower bit rates is a lot easier.
Sample Five: December 10th - 2014 + Show Spoiler +Xsplit SettingsResolution: 1280 x 720 Frame Rate: 30 Strict CBR: Off (VBR Mode) Keyframe Interval: default (0) Preset: slow SC2 Quality: 3 LoL Quality: 6 EVR: Disabled GPU Anti Aliasing: MSAA Sample Count: 8 Quality: 8 League of Legends Players: Simply adjust VBR quality as needed. I personally have the exact same settings with quality set to "6". League of Legends is not nearly as processor demanding so encoding at higher qualities at lower bit rates is a lot easier
I managed to muster out a 720p stream that, although edging is a bit blurred averages a less than 2% drop frame rate (roughly 200 dropped per 10000 frames) with an average bit rate of about 700Kbps.
I highly recommend this configuration for anyone who is stuck with a crap upload speed or bad connections to ingest servers like my self.

Personally I love using xsplit because it allows me to do so much in the way of mid-stream production that feels amazing to give viewers the experience of watching.
However, I, much like the OP am having similar problems. Framerate drops since the new patches, but also another issue:
Forcing audio to go from Stereo to Mono is not available in Xsplit. So that means my microphone, which I've spent about 200 USD on, including mixer, stand, microphone itself, etc. is useless. If I use xSplit, that means people can only hear out the left side of their headsets. I have to use OBS now to get everything the way I need it. However, I can use OBS to capture the Xsplit window and everything else in between. The real problem is that using OBS and Xsplit at the same time requires massive CPU usage, which means I have to take OBS down to 30 FPS.

We will fix this oversight in the near future, maybe even the next build of XSplit. Thank you for pointing it out.

I mean OBS is free to use and has this function, after all.

I have similar investment in audio equipment but never an issue with one directional audio output? Leaving my audio output on stereo for the stream has always outputted the correct directionality of audio, be it for mic or otherwise.
I think I am missing something.

I think I am missing something. I think I have this problem because my mixer connects to my PC via USB. Not 3.5mm plugs.

An obscure issue to be sure, what board do you use? I am looking in to getting one to help with multiple computer involved streams where one computer is recording and one is handling the game. It might be good to avoid that issue my self.
