Fitness Review
This was today's objective:
As I stated in yesterdays blog I was ready for today's exercise to prove a bit of a extra struggle due to not partaking in much over the past week. The run proved to be one of the worst ones so far. I ran or should I say crawled for 20 minutes and didn't even cover 3km. I averaged about 7:10 per kilometer, a whole minute slower than my last run. I was very dissapointed. I guess ill have to make it up in a few days.
Next came the body weight exercises, although the push ups were hard I didn't really struggle. I managed to complete all 4 sets of each exercise in about 30 minutes. A more positive end to the days exercise but I really need to get my running back up to scratch.
The Days Diet
I am currently not on a diet but will be starting on one soon. This area will go over the days food intake and will include recipes so everyone can start eating better at home!
Starcraft 2 and Stream Review
These were today's objectives:
1. Re-learn the 3 queen roach style in ZvZ.
2. Make sure to add safety spores when unable to scout in ZvP.
3. Refine the transition from the Tefel opener.
Despite the days exercise not going to well the days Starcraft 2 went great! I played five games total and went 5-0!
All of the games were really close, in three of the games I was seconds away from gg'ing only to hold on and eventually win the game. Thats something I have learned to do more and more and is espically relevant when faced with a allin. Most players who all in at diamond/low master level do so because they can't do anything else. Although in those games I was behind I was able to use my better macro to come back and win.
My ZvP was by far the closest game, I was faced with a two base gateway all in off a gateway expand. I didn't catch his forward pylon in time, so I was faced with a large army at a time where I had almost no units. Some how I was able to stall long enough to repel his initial wave I was then faced with a brutal decision. Do I drone my third and potentially lose now or do I make more units and lose later. I decided to mix in a round of drones which almost proved fatal. My opponent continued to rally stalkers, in the end I ended up pulling drones and fighting with everything I had and .... I HELD. Being protoss he left without a GG.
I readied up for one more game and then during the loading screen I saw the glistening portrait of a master player. He would be the second master player to play me since I started this program I lost to the first one... a protoss. This time the match up would be a ZvZ.
The game was a macro game where we both went roaches, being only the second time I had attempted this build I wasn't confident I could win. He went for the 1/1 upgrade style while I initially stuck with 1/0. This gave me a initial boost in roaches as a result I was able to take down his third while getting my own up.
We were then both on 2/2, but I had my third and I was eventually able to overpower him. GREAT SUCCESS.
I finally did it, beat a master player, the first step to reaching my goal of hitting masters once again. Bring on tomorrow.
