I wanted to make a blog post with some pics from a convention that was held in Viña del Mar, Chile. In this convention the finals of a Dota 2 Tournament were going to be played and I was invited to co-cast them! :D
Of course I'm nothing special, just a random guy that write Dota 2 stuff in spanish, but lucky I've been noticed from my local community... anyway let's go back to the point of this blog.
-Roshan:
I think Icefrog was agree with Fnatic (H4nn1 I think?) regarding Roshan being too weak, so he buffed the big guy and re-balancing his bounty. I think that the bounty change is trying to make the Aegis more value than it was. Also, this stat buff from Roshan (no limit and 20% faster) will give teams more time to contest a mid-game Roshan attempt.
- Alchemist's Unstable Concotion is now a little bit harder to execute to get a full time durantion and max damage. The more important change is that the Concotion does not gain strenght in mid-air. I think Alchemist will keep being first pick/first ban material... but players in general will be more careful when using Concotion.
- Invoker's Forged Spirit is now weaker since it has less armor and less range. Consider two important things: one is that now Forged Spirit at max level can't outrange the tower, and two; this range nerf is an indirect nerf to Cold Snap! o:
- Queen of Pain is not a common hero in the current Metagame, but the buff to her Scepter upgrade makes it more viable than it was before. Consider 4200 gold is a full Orchid Malevolence and something like 3/4 of a Scyte of Vyse!
- Well, no more Roshan blocking with the Serpent Wards... It was expected
- I don't think Sniper will get in the Metagame given this buff to his range (now, an insane max range of 950!). The hero weaknesses still too big, which is basically having no escape nor survival mechanism. Still, we could see some Sniper picks here and there...
- Venomancer harras capacity is now more balanced than in prior 6.79, now players have to be more careful when trading auto-attacks since they are weaker for Venomancer and he have less HP regen. Anyway Venomancer stills a harras-machine.
- Now that Bottle can be used on allies I think we will see supports carrying a bottle more commonly... is not like we didn't see this before, but having the capacity of bottling a solo mid and a carry to help them stay in lane is really good for a support. Can you use a rune-bottle-charge in a ally?
- Finally, a Necronomicon nerf... we were waiting for it. Necro was not abused as much as Hand of Midas was, but still, the item was kind of too good. Necronomicon stills a strong item pick, but at least is more easy to get the bounty from the Necro-unit, and the bounty itself is bigger. This wil make teams think twice before throwing 4 necro units at lvl 2.
- The TP Scroll stacking rework is a slight adjust to give teams a better reaction to a gank, nothing too big to be honest... but still cool.
There are a lot of more interesting stuff that this patchs brings, like te FIX to Broodmother stupid flee capacity, or the re-balance of Earth-fucking-Spirit. But most of them are not going to affect competitve play, since I think 6.79 had a much bigger impact in the Metagame...
That's basically it... IMHO...
Bye TL <3 !!!
