. My brother (Taiyo (which means the sun in japanese :O)) is going to be going to some college in Malaysia to study music... Not really sure why he would do that since I don't even know if he actually WANTS a career in music, but it kind of just seems like he's going to study music because that's what he did in high school and he did very bad with actually applying to any colleges in the states.
Not to really judge someone for wanting a career in music, but the chances of being able to succeed doing music is extremely low. In addition, to be able to succeed, you need to work really hard and do tons of practice and all that good jazz to be able to get anywhere; which I can't see my brother doing. He's going to be going to a college to study music and since he graduated highschool (over a year ago) he has barely even practiced his main instrument, the Saxophone. FFS, you can't want to be a pro at a very selective field and not practice all day err day.
