[BW] Battle Report 002

My opponent spawns at the top left corner.


I spawn at the bottom right.


Yay! No cheese from both sides
My plan was to open up with 2 gate, expo, robo and observer because this is what Harem suggested me when I complained I always die early vs terran (with 1 gate expo vs FD since I can't micro) on Skype some time ago (btw, where are you Harem?!)


I scout the wrong direction but he is luckier... Funny how often this happens to me


This annoys me so much!!! SCVs are so beefy that it takes 5 goon shots to kill them, so often times SCVs dance around my base and then leave alive

Meanwhile he's building the standard 5 marines, 1 tank and 1 vulture with mines. You can hold it with 1 gate expo if you are not incompetent at microing like I am.


... and I'm expoing because that's what Protosses do.


He pushes out too early, without tank or vulture support...


... so I take the opportunity to snipe off his marines...


... but I get too cocky and lose a dragoon.

Meanwhile he's trying to set a bunker tank contain in my natural, but I OBVIOUSLLY spot it and bust his evil scheme in time.


While he pushes across the map I pick off some of his marines. Thankfully he apparently forgot to bring vultures.


He's being extremely careless with his army, so I snipe a tank when I see the opportunity arise.


He manages to sneak in a vulture and plants 2 mines in my natural. The 2 goons snipe off the vulture before it could deal any damage, but I'm no mine defuser so I have them on hold position until I can squeeze out an observer from the robo.


On the other side of the map my 3 goons notice he is pretty defenseless atm, so I decide to dive in...

But fuck mines and tanks. So I retreat for now...


... and decide I'm gonna man it up and force my way in with goons, speedlots and zealot bombs.


It's not showing up in this screenshot, but I sneaked in an observer in his base and noticed he's only on 3 factories... everything is lining up well for my bust attempt.


I position my army on the cliff outside his base, just awaiting for the zealots reinforcement and the kamikaze zealot parachuters.


Zealot bombs!! Manly heroes that sacrifice themselves, they open up the window for the army to strike.

We trade off armies...


... but I killed too many of his SCVs and still got 3 dragoons left.


At this point I'm just waiting him to gg, but you know, terrans don't just die.


Unmicroed zealots parting in the terran base!


I'm taking my third by now, you know, even protoss needs to macro sometimes.

I need to keep him in check, so I hold this position.


At this point I've all the tech I need, and I'm pumping army from 8 gates, while he still has too few factories and no signs of Science Vessels anytime soon.


The skies are open for the parachuters...


... so I attack head-on after the zealot bombs...


fuck terrans and their tanks and mines.

Eventually he moves out to siege my third, as I had lost mostly of my army in the engagement before.


But the parachuters are back!!


And I remake my army really fast, so I can trade armies like a zerg.


After I clean up the siege I go for the final blow.


And he gg's! That's it! I made it, I made it. I achieved C-!!
