You are new to this blog or missed the last couple of posts?
If you are new you should check out my first entry in which I explain the concept of this blog.
If you missed the last few entries just go to my blog and check out the missed posts.
So as I told you in the last blog every player chose 3 heroes to play in every single came for the next couple of weeks.
We picked heroes that we like to play and did not consider their value in working together at all.
We hoped to archieve an improved motivation (because of playing heroes we like), improved skil of the single player (because of practicing the same 3 heroes over and over again) and improved communication (because of knowing each other's reactions on the specific heroes)
I expected to see the first impacts in about one or two weeks.
But you know what happened?
We owned the shit out of every team yesterday and played very very well today.
Even though we did lose the second game today horribly we played very very very well in the first one, working well together and showing a very active and aggressive style of play.
I mean you know that a game goes well when I can go for a Mjollnir on Clinkz again (even though I start to like it on him a lot..What do you think about it?)
I feel like this new practice method kind of woke us up again and at least for me totally brought the passion for DOTA and especially practicing with a bunch of friends again.
And this is the next thing I want to mention.
Starting this team the only thing I had in mind was the professional thought of it and I considered the trials I played with as my team mates not as any sort of friends.
I always wanted them to have a nice personality because that is in my opinion a must-have for a successful pro player but I never felt like these people need to become my friends.
But this actually happened.
Yesterday I said Beana became an unreplacable component of the team (like every player in our team) I need to correct that statement. Every single one of them is now an unreplacable friend of mine.
We have a great laugh in every game and even though I know it is hard to get along with me people accept me and make me feel comfortable.
I had huge problems being the captain of people who probably know 10 times more about the game than I do first, but now I look forward to every single bit of criticism my team mates give me.
They helped me getting confident enough to make calls now (even though I express most of them as a question as in "Can we go Rosh?" or "Shouldn't we push this lane?")
I finally feel like we start to use our huge potential and see a bright future lying before us.
This said I also hope that you have a great future lying before you and hopefully also a great day.
Thanks for reading another blog post of mine and I hope you enjoyed the short read!
