Your assigned troubleshooter gear will be available to you in 12 to 16 days. Then you are allowed to have fun. Fun is mandatory. Not having fun at any point shows a lack of satisfaction with your life in Alpha Complex. Should you experience not having fun, report to your nearest IntSec facility for brainscrubbing. Don't worry, that will also be fun, citizen. Attention! You are not troubleshooting Friend Computer, that would imply that there is something wrong with Friend Computer. Do you want to imply that there is something wrong with Friend Computer, citizen CrazyF1r3 - R - f0x? Your answer will be recorded.

Now gentlemen, we shall be playing Pandemonio this week, and I will be your director. You are the disciples, twisted and broken souls dedicated to fighting Angels, Demons, and whatever else tries to fuck with the world. Because this is your world and only you can fuck with it. For anyone who has the time and inclination to make their character during the week, here is how you do so (spoiled for length). Character sheets and the Pandemonio player's guide have been posted into the skype chat, just scroll up a little. + Show Spoiler + Firstly, you need a name. The best names are short and brutal, usually only 1-2 syllables long. Examples are Scar, Mustang, Deadbolt or anything else that sounds bad ass. Then you must pick your class and invent a character background. Classes are Crusader, Hammerwitch, Messiah, Murderist, Nail-Matyr, Priest, Sinner and War Ghoul. Descriptions can be found in the player's guide. Character backgrounds should include who you were before you became a disciple, what led to your recruitment as a disciple and what drives your character to do whatever it is they do. Afterwards we come to attribute scores. You will have 11 points to assign between Reflex, Traction and Instinct, and 9 points to assign between Violence and Magic. These points represent how many dice you roll when using that attribute. If you have 5 points in Reflex and some guy tries to shoot you in the face, you roll 5d12 attempting to not get shot in the face. This is more points than is stated in the player's guide, so don't be confused. No less than one point in an attribute either. For a description of what each attribute is used for refer to this handy guide: Roll attribute when you want to - Violence: Fuck shit up with guns and knives Magic: Fuck shit up with spells Reflex: Not get fucked up by guns and knives Traction: Not get fucked up by spells Instinct: Realise when someone is fucking with you or something is just generally fucky Director's note: Invest all points into Violence/Reflex at your own risk. Next we have skills. Who were you back when you were a useless piece of Demon-bait? What did you do? You have 6 points to assign to skills that reflect your past life. The number of points in a skill again represents the number of d12 dice you get to roll when trying to use it. No more than 3 points in a single skill. Now for the fun stuff, stunts and spells. Stunts are single use actions that allow disciples to perform rather spectacular feats. They are divided into 3 categories, Bonebreakers, Exploits and Shamus Work. Your chosen class will allow you to select stunts from two of these categories. You may choose a total of 3 stunts. Spells are divided into two lists, Sacraments and Blasphemies. Your class determines which list you may select spells from. You may choose a number of spells equal to your magic points, eg. 5 magic points means 5 different spells. You are not restricted to a single cast of each spell, you are allowed to cast 5 spells (if you have 5 magic points), selecting from your entire list of spells. Further magic use is possible, but comes at a cost. Every spell you cast past your number of magic points will incur decay. You don't want decay. Or maybe you do if you're crazy enough. Lastly let's buy some stuff. Roll 3d8 for the amount of money your character starts with, then use that to buy weapons, armour and equipment. List's are on pages 71-3 of the player's guide, but feel free to be creative. There is no obligation to have your character ready by Sunday, but the less character creation we do the more we get to play.

I am currently thinking of playing a Wiccan Hammerwitch. Maybe owned an esoterics bookstore before becoming crazy witchy.

Dark skinned, androgynous, inhumanly thin, painted body. Does not talk. Communicates through very quick and accurate, but somehow archaic drawings on whatever surface is available. Only clothing consists of multiple leather belts carrying large amounts of bone knives, no two of which are the same. Exactly one is always covered in fresh blood.

And her supernatural powers are obviously a sign of the natural defense of mother Gaia, who will no longer tolerate such abuse, following the universal rule that whatever you do will be thrice returned.

And yes, Shoggoths. I highly suggest not getting anywhere near one. Also, one of the few things that gets more and more scary the more you know about them. There is nothing that is not creepy about them. Also, take that picture as a rough idea explaining the existence of sanity rules within CoC. If you see that rushing towards you at twice the speed of a running man, slipping into merciful insanity is probably the most reasonable choice.
