Harlem Shakes, what are they? Are they something drinkable, or something one dances to. Well it's beginning lies in Queensland, Australia, where 4 people in masks & costumes did what no one would thought would become the next big thing after Gangnam Style. They did a dance so ridiculous yet so funny, and contagiuous that it would be mimmicked throughout the world for weeks to come.
Is this a Harlem Shake? Can we buy one at McDonalds?
That's where it all started. That one dance, was it the costumes or the ridiclous moves that spiked its popularity?
From then on, competition became fierce as everyone was looking to outdo one another, recruiting as many people as possible for what might be a try at the gold medal, that's right, a try for the bigger shake possible, because that's where the acholades of entertainment are at right? Something that would make thousands of people do it in unison.
From there on it evolved, we got anything from a massive shake, which was done by thousands of people, to ones done underwater.
Synchonized swimming or dance moves for a Harlem Shake?
This paved the way for one of the most notorious shakes to date which stayed on the front page of youtube as the biggest and boldest video for several days.
And then after the dust settled, and the gold was won, it was time for the silver, something original and nitty of a second spot that hadn't been done before, something maybe involving a household appliance that is used on a weekly basis by a lot of people.
Do I really gotta do a 'shake ma? I just wanna play.
Now the video won't be revealed since it was too painful to watch for the poor washer machine, that received the award of being completely decimated by a brick for doing a lifetime of work for its human, but at least it won the second place for its last efforts.
So where does this lead us? Some think the 'Shake is fading, just another flash in the pan, and while that might be so, it will not go down with a whisper, but with some colors instead....and I'm talking about computer code colors of course.
color 16 color 9E color 5F color 4C color 08 color 6A color 12 color B5 color 91 color F4 color 89
But of course we can't forget about the good ol' start command as well
START color 21
Throw in some pencils (no pun intended) and the end truly is nigh.
How did I get involved in this? All I wanted was to write.....
And ladies, and gentleman the result is this:
Hope you all enjoyed, it was my first blog ever.

Interesting write-up I like the way you wrote your blog, even if I personally think the Harlem Shake is one of the dumbest memes in the past few months.

Yeah harlem shake just blew up. There was also that interesting video in which they interviewed residents of Harlem about the meme. That was definitely quite a video, and surprisingly, a lot of them took actual offense to the meme and seemed really really upset about it lol. Proud of their culture I guess ^^
I would just like to say Texas A&M is planning for just over 4,000 people to do it at Kyle Field tomorrow (today) :D not sure how many people were in UT's. But yeah, Harlem shake exploded pretty quickly, but I don't think it will last nearly as long as gangnam style did (it was still kind of popular here in like december even)

Here's one from Sweden. Basically it's the standard "Who wants to be a millionare" program and it's usually very serious, but watch what happens after she answer the question.
At this point it's past the "sufferable" stage, though occasionally yes you will get a harlem shake video that's surprisingly funny/refreshing/awesome. These random internet movements and ideas that just go huge are always sort of interesting. You never really know what kind of thing is about to go massively viral...
