so in this kind of visual thinking way i started thing about something i had recently written as sort of like a poetry "madlib" where each line was sort of like a prompt for another line, but not written, and they are all filled with this really kind of generic and old standard basking in the moonlight under the trees imagery (or prompts for it) and originally to keep the audience from thinking the poem was something else i wanted to have a kind of visual element that would not only make it interesting to look at but also help people see what the poem was doing.
my first idea was literally like a madlib but i thought it would be really boring, and then i thought that it might be cool to organize it like a book. like each page would be a picture, with the "prompting" line, and then on the opposite or flip side (maybe the pages could fold and u lift the picture up) there would be blank space maybe even lines where you could write.
i think that this would be a really cool idea for like a small valentines day gift or card or whatever (it would be kind of long for a card) because i think that the poem can stand on its own without anything extra so u could give it to someone blank or you could even write things in and have it be rly personal or whatever.
so the idea im kind of pinballing in my head right now is i would take pictures, and print them out and print out the words (separately) and then i would cut the words out and paste them onto the picture and then i would scan the picture in on a shitty scanner so the finished product is rly grainy and black and white and kind of shitty. i could do full color photos but thats a lot more expensive and i think if i do that then i have to worry about visual elements like color palettes or something, and ideally id like to be able to offer copies of the booklet/card to people if they want to give them out along w/ a pdf so they could also print it out themselves.
im just wondering how much people would like this idea and if they would consider giveing something like this to the people that they care about.

something about climbing trees.
something about the moon.
something about the way the moon looked last night.
something about the way the moon looks now, tonight.
something about looking at the moon on a bench in the park.
something about sitting on a park bench under the moonlight with you.
something about jungle gyms.
something about taking my pants off, and where my genitals should be is a jungle gym.
something about hiding in my jungle gym to escape from the light of the moon.
something about the phases of the moon.
something comparing you to the phases of the moon in relation to how i feel in the morning after you have gone.
something comparing you to some other aspect of the moon in relation to how i feel right now with you.
something comparing the sun to the moon, and saying that i want you.
something about how you are the moon.
something about how we are birds.
something about the freedom of flying.
something about soaring above the streets of america, the streets are the looks from the people that are judging us and america is the people that are judging us.
something about what time it is.
something about birds
or the moon
or you.

i think even the text of the poem is changeable as are the images that i use (i could literally make a completely personalized one since i would be printing and stitching them together myself, or they would themselves).
i feel rly good and pumped about this idea and i hope other people would be too.
