Hello TL,
I haven't made a blog in a little while now, and I'm looking for some feedback on a last minute (well I have a few hours actually) costume I'm trying to put together for a friends birthday party which they've made a Halloween party.
Money isn't particularly an issue, but when I was in some of the bigger stores with costumes on sale they were basically all for children and such and I'm 6'2", 205lbs and nearly 21, so I've come to the conclusion that I'll basically be making my own.
Looking around my house, two things have come to mind that I could use for part of a costume. I made these back in high school in grade 10 in a medieval armoury class:

So of course, I'm all "hell yeah, I can go as a knight", then I realize that the colours between the shield and helm kind of clash... a lot. I don't really have a chest piece either.
So it would seem my options are below:
Poll: egads!Wear both the helm and the shield (9) 45% Wear just the helm (6) 30% Find a new costume (5) 25% Wear just the shield (0) 0% 20 total votes Your vote: egads! (Vote): Wear just the helm

It would be nice to have an actual sword as well, but alas we were prohibited from making weapons in school. I wonder if there's anything I can do to address my lack of a weapon (yay shield bashing!). It would also be sweet if I could get some Pholon chainmail ;D
Anyways, suggestions for my dilemma?

Get a white sheet, cut out holes for the eyes and go as a ghost. Nothing better than a classic!

This is definitely something I'm considering. I don't think I actually have a white sheet at home, but I can easily pick one up at the store.

If you wear a lazy costume you'll look like halloween is an excuse to party rather than an excuse to wear a costume. Bring shield imo.

Just the shield or shield and helm? I'd imagine if I was just going to wear one, I'd take the helm since it comes off as kind of a mask, which is good as a standalone 1-piece costume. Hmmmm

Yup, ended up going with DuBlooNz's suggestion. Took a bit longer than expected to write it out neatly, but I think it looks half decent haha
