Well guess who's not going to get any sleep tonight...
I've just come out of the shower and already I'm sweating like a particularly overweight person at a summer's fund run for childhood diabetes. I' slim, I live in the fucking rainiest part of Germany, I sometimes don't get to see the sun for weeks and now it's fucking 32° celsius AT TEN FUCKING O CLOCK.
To make things worse, the super liberal church across the street decided to dedicate this weekend to "Orgies for the Elderly", which I totally support, but that also means that I get to enjoy the same 15 minutes of "erotic" music perpetually playing for 8 hours a night. And who fucking decided it would be appropriate to put fucking RED LIGHTS in the church? Do you know how creepy at is to see ornamented Catholic church windows glow RED until two in the morning? Anyways, how can the elderly even attend if they have to get up at five in the morning?
So now I'm sitting here, unable to calm myself down by playing some tunes, since my hands are too clumsy from all the sweat to even touch my guitar or piano...
Guess things could be worse, I could be the church's cleaning lady...

Just wanted to say it's ridiculously hot here as well. I have an attic room, I just played a few ladder games and I am litterally dripping in sweat T.T
|
I'd expect it to be colder in Germany than America :/
|
Wow that must suck I know the feel...coldness is alright because you can dress more heavily. With hotness you can only strip so much.
Also wtf at that church. That's insane lmao.

Oh man, so-cal it's pretty bad. I think it's been 2 weeks straight, it's been over 100 degrees (f)~ 37-138(c, for you euro's) during day time. Around 85(f) at night. I'ts not fun waking up to 95 degree mornings as well >.<
Try wearing a wet/moist t-shirt, and put a towel on top of where you sleep, it'll make it a lot more bearable.

"Orgies for the Elderly"
wait what the fuck in what where?
Uh. That disturbs me, but ok. It's been a tad too warm here as well, though "too warm" by my standards is about 20 celsius. I know how annoying it is to be unable to escape immense heat, though, so I sympathize. Guess I picked the right country for not liking warmth and hot summers.

If I ever get the opportunity, Norway is the land I'd choose to live in.
Not just due to the weather, but because of the remoteness and the beautiful countryside. Also insects. I hate insects.

Are you implying there's a lack of them here? I guess I wouldn't know, I hardly ever leave the country, but if you leave the window open at night while on the computer, the assault of mosquitos will be persistent still. I guess it's better than a lot of other countries.
I live on the country side, and the snow here becomes kind of annoying, car getting stuck etc., but it's perfect for christmas time.

HUEHEUEHEUHE - my uncle and aunt once had to abort a trip through Norway towards the Nord Cap due to the insane level of mosquitoes around, to this day my aunty claims my uncle was actually sweating blood so stressed out was he.

Too bad that everything is sooo expensive...

"orgies for the elderly"??? I'm not even sure if a church can be called a church if it hosts orgies. Those guys must either be running the most liberal church in the known world, or some kinda kinky cult. Because, well, seriously, orgies? Most churches I know open their doors to homeless people on cold nights, not horny seniors.

So's the standard of living, but that's not a debate for here.

I live in Australia and after a typical summer, 32.C is a godsend, and people start putting on jumpers and long pants
