Anyway. I was watching a series called "Bronze to Master" by filterstarcraft and he recommends a build that I'm keen on trying. Not because I want some super mega build that will win every game, but because I really like the idea of having a build I can attack with and expand behind.

See, right now, I just kind of take my third when I feel like I can. It feels a bit gross because I don't have my eyes all over the map like I should (because I'm a noob!). I need to continue to focus on my macro, and having a build like this that I can have a clear plan of attack (which happens to include upgrades), I can save some mental bandwidth to press forward into the later game -- a brood lord followup to a roach attack is what I'm thinking, but we'll see!

Okay, so I'm a fan of this style. It's forcing me to get units when I need to, and I am still so far able to deal with early attacks. Getting the roach upgrades means that I have a decent force for attacking, but also for defending when I need to. I'll have to play many, many more games before this part of play sinks in, though, and I can move further along with the plan of winning at Hive tech.
