I see what you did there. I get some pretty good deals on clothes. One time I got a pair of Lucky jeans (retail between $100-$150) for $20. They used to sell these jeans for a discount at a store called the Buckle. Then they had a sale on their sale items. That was a good day.

This deal was only being offered in a four day time frame and to PLNDR members only. It was a collaboration deal with both stores. The deal was you pay $80.00 and in return you receive a box every month. The contents of the box would be random but guaranteed clothing of some sort, buttons, magazine, and some sort of jewelry. It was like christmas every month that year! I got fresh ass tee's, pimp ass men's wrist jewelry, dope magazines, sick ass stickers and buttons, and sometimes albums from talented artists. By far the best deal I've ever gotten! Looking forward to next weeks read as it always brings a smile to my face. Cool new banner too ![]() [5]/[5]

For something paid, I'd say a laptop from dell, believe it or not- ordered it, arrived DOA. Put in request for replacement, said "shipped," but then they said they actually didn't ship it and were out of stock. A few convincing emails later, they shipped off a laptop worth 40-50% more for the price I paid for the original. Great blog.. I feel like I'm going to be thinking about whether my salt shakers are pointed toward Mecca every time I eat now.

As usual I loaded up my cart with a few packages of delicious, delicious cow, added some other sundries, paid for it and went to wait for the bus home (obviously no room in the budget for a car when you eat at WF). It was only then that I discovered an anomaly: one of my packages of ground beef was only $0.36. That's right: only thirty-six cents for an entire pound of meat! If I were to sell my flesh for the same rate I wouldn't even be worth $50! Apparently something had gone awry with the weighing/labelling process and the sticker on this particular package said it weighed less than an ounce! I felt a little badly at first but I decided since it was the store's own error I would enjoy the sweet taste of delicious deal.

Nice blog banner update btdubs! ![]() As always, really entertaining blog all the way through. One thing I'd really appreciate is a line spacing between each paragraph. It's clear enough as it is but it might be a bit easier on the eyes. If you just feel better doing it that way, it's completely fine of course. I don't necessarily agree 100% with some of the observations and/or analyses you come up with, but your point of view is always well-put and very interesting ^^ Edit: alright, would be fun just to share a story anyway and join the fun~ About two months ago I was planning on a trip to China but planned really late and, as someone unable to bend the laws of time, was thus forced to purchase my ticket from SFO to Beijing Capital International Airport really late as well. Now unfortunately I have yet to Ding! So that's how I ended up in a ten-thousand-dollar, first-class seat for no money out of my pocket. Oh, and did I mention it's a Boeing 747, I believe, Inception-style under the cockpit?! Heck yeah. Maybe I'll meet someone famous ![]()

Everything that was happening on the screen, I wanted to start doing it all too. I was only like 16, but I was determined to find what I hungered for. What I was thinking about day and night as a Junior in high school. I went all over searching for this beauty, and one day, I found it. + Show Spoiler + The StarCraft Battle Chest. $20. Best. Deal. As far as the topic of the question goes, pretty mych everything i buy from online stores in US and Europe here is a GREAT deal. I buy stuff with my card, get it delivered to my doorstep and chances are it will still be 30-40% cheaper than if you buy it at the store or local online shops. Imagine that!!! Example: Timberland boots here cost up to 450$. Any mechanical keyboad (if you can find it) will cost you at least 200$.

The best deal I ever got was purchasing a mini-fridge after moving out of the house. For those of you who live in an actual house, either with your parents or on your own, you probably use a full fridge. Your typical refrigerator is about as high as a man is tall, a half-stride deep, and a stride wide. It often has a freezer compartment, and if it's particularly fancy, a water filter and ice maker. This sort of machine can easily service a group of 6 or 7 people with some room to spare. It can also cost a fortune. If you go upscale, a new 18 cu ft (500 L) fridge can cost nearly a grand. Even a low-end one will still cost a lot, but if you buy used, bargain, and take your time, you may be able to pick something up for a little under $250. It won't be new, clean, or even fully functional, but it'll be something. If you're like me, though, you don't exactly have a couple benjamins just lying around, especially if you're just moving out. A mini fridge, though, has all the benfits of a regular fridge-- you can store your I started, of course, by checking prices online. I found some as of them going for as low as $150 new, and considered (briefly) buying a new unit. I figured I could find a decently new one for cheap online, though, so I started browsing craiglist and shopping around. Your typical used minifridge seller is a lot like me. A young person who's moving, and can't be bothered to lug around a big heavy piece of equipment. Maybe the new apartment has a fridge. Maybe he's moving back in with his parents. Maybe he finally tired of having to crouch every time he wants a beer. Generally, though, the fridge is priced to sell-- and sell fast. I finally found a listing at a price I liked. A used Haier, the description told me, but sturdy. Only used to store drinks, clean, runs well. No freezer unit, but at a fairly spacious 4.7 cubic feet (133 L) and a generously low price of $20 USD, the appliance was a winner. I brought it home and it instantly became part of the household. It ran like crap, the compressor letting out horrible gasping noises, and one of the machine's 4 legs was ever-so-slightly shorter than the other 3, leading it to tilt precariously, threatening from time to time to send the empty bottles atop it tumbling to the floor. The black paint was scratched in several places in slow, long arcs from being hastily dragged into and out of the bed of a faded-red pickup truck, and where the paint wasn't scratched it was faded. In almost every aesthetic sense, this fridge was a piece of junk. It was mine, though.

Later I then noticed that most items won in the normal auctions were taking about 100-200 tokens per person to win. So I changed my strategy to have the best chance at winning with my little amount of tokens into playing their game style auctions where you can use special cards that have different ability's like blanking out the auction timer, etc. They also had cards to counter your cards and cards of their own, so it was sort of a little battle. I ended up winning a laptop worth about $380 in about thee hours of work using their original free ten tokens, if you ask me that is a pretty good deal.. a free $380 laptop for just being slightly clever.

To start, I had the taco (I was about 17), a younger friend wanted the taco (about 15), and an older friend (about 23, and mountain bike champion Cameron Chambers nonetheless) was wearing an amazing short-sleeve plaid shirt, but not just any plaid; this used the colors of green, yellow, a lot of bright pink, some red, and a dose purple. This shirt was infamous in our group of friends, and much revered. We were relaxing after an intense session of playing hacky-sack and watching a surfing documentary while drinking yerba mate tea and I had picked up a couple tacos at Taco Bell. The youngest kid was pretty hungry, and I had no problems sharing my food, but he right away mentioned "I wish I had a dollar to pay you for one of those", and before I could say that he could just have one, Cameron let the sack hit the ground (right away an oddity, as he's crazy good at hacky-sack), and said "Wait! I got this!", walked over to us, took off his shirt, and handed it to me while giving me a wink. I smiled, took off my shirt, put The Majestic One on, and gave the kid the taco. We resumed hacky-sack and tea-drinking, and I felt incredible, having just inherited The Shirt by way of tacos. I hung on to the shirt another two years until I traded it to my younger brother in exchange for a two-pound burrito at 5:00 a.m. on the way back into town after a camping trip. (By camping I mean we went to a dried up riverbed five miles outside of town and played hacky-sack around a campfire while eating expired convenience store food provided by a friend who worked at one)

It all started at school when I heard a friend of a friend talk about how he got a CS:GO key but he plant on using it. Being a counter-strike source avid gamer, I went straight to the guy and asked him what he wanted in exchange for his key. He said 60$ or Dota 2 beta + 10$. Problem is I don't have a dota 2 key. So I looked around on the forums for a key and asked friends and stuff. Then I see this guy on twitch.tv, NxVig or something, announcing that he's gonna do a giveaway of a dota key if he gets to 300 viewers. Then I think to myself, that's bullshit he just wants more viewers. Yet, I still watch and it was very boring watching him play LoL but he eventually gets to 300 and says hes gonna send the key to someone who added him in his friend list. I GOT IT!!! I was so freaking happy and couldn't believe it. So 2 days later I go to Max, the guy who owns cs:go and we do the trade later the night I got a CS:GO key for 10$ when they go for 50-70$!!!

Incredibly, someone who worked there had put a brand new copy with the bargain bin games (It was beside games like Leisure Suit Larry+ Show Spoiler + ![]() ![]() With no question, the clerk ran it up as only $5.99!! The bed is ruined, because it's this off-white thing. She is so sorry, etc. Literally the SAME day, I get a call from a raffle I had entered into months ago, 30 dollar raffle ticket for breast cancer, and I ended up winning a 1000$ shopping spree at Sleep Country. The same day! I guess this doesn't totally count as a deal but it was such an amazing coincidence. The kicker: the girl had convinced me to enter into the raffle in the first place! ^.^

When I was a teenager (around 14 if I remember correctly) I had been gifted an iPod Mini by my mother, as I am a very musically inclined person. Shortly after, as the old iPods had quite a few problems, it began to self destruct and eventually stopped working. The iPod though, was under warranty, so I sent it to Apple in hopes of getting it fixed. About two months later I get my iPod back in the mail. It's clearly the same iPod since it has this long scratch in the back from when I left it in my pocket with a boxcutter. I get it out of the box and plug it in, excited that it's been fixed. The catch was....they didn't fix anything. It came back to me, still broken. I called Apple, explained it to them, and they had me send it back to them in order to be fixed. My iPod returned only 3 weeks later and I was quite surprised. I open the box, plug it in, and it still doesn't work. I call Apple AGAIN, and at this point they told me to hang on to my iPod and they would just send me a replacement with an upgrade to the newest iPod. They called me again the next day giving me the tracking number for the package containing my brand new iPod. Being 14 I naturally didn't give a shit about the tracking number, but I wrote it down anyway and left it next to my computer. After a week of coming home from school hoping to see my new iPod waiting on the front porch like packages delivered to the house usually are, it was Spring Break and we went on a family vacation. Thinking nothing of it, we left town for our trip. Upon returning from our trip, as we were gone for the better part of 8 days, I had expected the iPod to be at my house when we returned. It wasn't. So, I went upstairs, dug through the piles of paper all over my desk looking for that silly tracking number thingy. I went online and tracked the package, which it said "Delivered" and had the date next to it. It had been put down that Apple requested a signature for the package when it arrived, but nobody signed for it on delivery. I called Apple AGAIN, and explained the situation to them. They called DHL and inquired into it, and shortly after they called me back and said that they were going to send ANOTHER iPod. I waited about a week, and one Wednesday afternoon while I was down in the basement playing Halo and yelling obscenities into the microphone at my teammates over XboxLIVE, I heard the doorbell. I put the controller down and answered the door for the DHL Driver. I signed for the package and was handed my brand new iPod! Fast forward about a month later, and I'm in our back yard doing some yardwork around the pool. As I clear some debris from around the retaining wall where wind tends to push stuff around the pool deck, I see a bright yellow stickynote. Being the curious person I am, I pick it up to see if there's anything written on it. Written in black sharpie, in hastily scrawled letters it reads "Neighbors said you are out of town, hid your package in the grill on the back porch - DHL" Sure enough, I open the hood of the grill and there inside is the package containing my OTHER new iPod. I still use that iPod today, 5 years later.

She was so exceptionally drunk that she ended up peeing just all over the bed, and on me, while remaining asleep. (I was sadly awake.) The bed is ruined, because it's this off-white thing. ^.^ She sounds like a real soothsayer this one. How on earth did she convince you to join a raffle? That is a crazy coincidence. My dad would pull this move on a tri-annual basis, but he always told me that he dreamed he was sitting on the toilet. Wait a second, why does he sit down when he pisses in his dreams? She exploited my love of gambling!

I bought it off of her for $100, put a new timing belt in it and when i started it up it had a full tank of gas. that was a year ago and still using the car today! funny thing is my dad was trying to pressure me into buying a $1500 car saying i would never find a better deal than that, proved that asshole wrong :-D edit: 2000 ford contour with 145k miles blue book value $2100 too rich for my blood.
