So apparently we underestimated the temperature of downtown Seoul in the middle of the day. It was pretty sweaty, but tolerable. We decided to catch the train to Dongdaemun/City Hall and just wander around the middle of the city for a while, but it turns out that none of the shopping centres in that area have western food-court style areas, so after a fruitless hour of wandering in the sun around convoluted roads and road crossings (seriously, the road crossings are weird. No one simply walks across even a medium-sized road in Seoul, there are pedestrian crossings with lights at every intersection, sometimes inconveniently placed) we found an icecream store at the top of some half-empty new shopping centre.

After realising that no one seems to really go out during the day in the city, we caught the subway back to Hondae and found some delicious roadside seafoody things on sticks. Following our MSG binge, we dragged ourselves back to our hostel and flopped on our beds for a siesta (current location).

There's this guy who drives around the alleys near where we're staying with a truck full of vegetables. He hangs out the window and yells through a microphone something totally indecipherable REALLY LOUDLY. Oh and he started doing this at 7am this morning, much to Sam's and my delight.

We're heading to the GOMTV studios in about two hours to watch SC2 live for the first time here, so hopefully we'll get to get signatures/photos with the pros and Tastosis, as well as meet some fellow TLers (I heard some would be there).
