Same thing happened to me, It was by Cyberpower though and I got it on newegg. One side of the hard drive was detached and held in by a screw pretty much...Was pretty shitty. I just bent the other side though so it holds it now. Still, pretty ridiculous considering I spent like almost 1k on that computer.

How the hell did they think someone wouldn't notice this? This is like building a bike but then realizing they made the frame so that the tires aren't in line but then just deciding to go with it.

I wish I had done a video of the opening... I would have like to see what my face actually looked like when I first saw it... confusion, sadness and pure rage rolled into one...

Buy from Alternate, never got any problems with them, really.

If you know enough to open the computer and realize the hard drive is not connected and installed incorrectly, you know enough to build it yourself.
I'm sure you got ripped off even if it was in perfect working order.

You've earned a refund and I think you just have to pay for the shipping back (this is standard for a lot of companies, read the terms). third: go to NCIX.com and get your computer pre-built there. You pick the parts and its 50$ extra to have it pre-built for you + they test everything and you get a year of their warranty. I got my computer from NCIX and two things made me happy about them: 1. You can match any part you find with cheaper gear (from the same country) so long as you can prove it. Shopbot.ca shows lowest prices on gear and the site, so you use that + NCIX price-match and you save like 200$ Second: if your configurations or computer parts don't exactly work the way intended, they'll call you and tell you and suggest other parts. This is a dream for dumbasses like me who try for the best stuff, but don't quite know about shit. I almost bought a PSU I didn't need and they suggested lower. Third, My comptuer came, but my mouse and keyboard were behind ): They expressed shipped it without charge. :3 Show nested quote +On June 01 2012 11:51 Liquid`Sheth wrote: Torte's about to post here, I can sense these things... Yea I could have easily built one myself... but I was being lazy I didn't feel like doing the work, saw that they sponsored esports and had a couple really good deals so I bought T.T I have never before in my life regretted being lazy more.

inb4 tech support forum elitests tell you "this is why you should build your own PC". -edit: never mind, beaten to it lol
Though I can't see what you're talking about in the pic, I don't see any snapped cables. And the case is probably built custom like that for iBuyPower.

Man that sucks

Look closely at the box I drew. it is a perfect straight line, notice how the frame isn't? thats not a custom build thats a Hmm if we bend this here maybe the hard drive will fit inside it.

Hey man i would totally either go with NCIX or build one yourself + its very satisfying. Nor is it all that hard. Either way don't take shit from Ibuypower no case should be bent up like that for a special build, simply put they tried to fit components that dont fit. Complete noob built that PC.

This is odd. I have an Ibuypower computer that is 2 years old. Aside from it once having an overheating issue that was partly my fault due to where I placed it and not taking care of a dust problem, it has handled greatly and was a great price for its hardware. Perhaps they're pulling a bit of a Razer and dropping in quality as their popularity and need to mass-produce goes up.

Got an iBuyPower. Most beast computer yet.
