I'm a fan of Armani tees, but they're far from "durable" if that's a part of "going the distance."

Otherwise, they're fitted really well and are incredibly comfortable.

Oh I thought yo uwere talking about white teeth all the time. I was wondering what in the world do you eat to have teeth that are "old and gross, some have stains in weird places, and some are losing their shape"...

American Apparel shirts stay white through thick and thin. They won't stain, and they definitly will keep their awesome color.
The quality is very good too. I have a pet peeve with itchy shirts. If it itchs, I won't wear it. American Apparel doesn't itch. They are clean, they are fresh. Solid shirts all around, EVEN if riding solo.

Only (and I mean only) downside is the cost. It's not outrageous, but if you are looking for something a little bit cheaper, Hanes and Fruit of the Loom are good as well. Just not as fresh.

When looking at cost, also look at the quality of the item and how long you think you can wear it. I wouldn't go Armani or Express personally (I like their stuff, but its expensive and will only nuy on sale :D), but American Apparel is a good choice. Looking at an Urban Outfitters could be good too.

Also, I'm assuming you're looking at v-necks?

I go with Threadless when I want graphics, American Apparel when I want plain T's (and Hautelook when trying to scope out good deals on fancier shirts to go over them). And I never realized it until pointed out in this thread, but my American Apparel shirts hardly have any pit stains and whatnot compared to my other shirts.

So yea, giving my endorsement to American Apparel.

Calvin Klein 365 tees fit me perfectly.

I doubt there's a be-all end-all "best" for every body type though. Go to a Nordstrom and try a bunch on.

I assume you're looking for a solid white tee, not a semi-sheer undershirt (although my FOTLs are awesome when I'm wearing my Dr. Seuss jammy pants). If you're looking to be fashion forward, plain white tees just aren't it. Even ones with nice quality cotton, good fit, and a modified neckline still invariably look like undershirts. Worse, ones from fashion brands and high-end department stores can cost anywhere from $20 to $50 (and higher if you're willing to look). Worse again, even the fashion labels are often pretty shittily made (especially the store labels like old navy, american apparel, gap, etc.). While plain shirts with interesting washes and textures can look really nice, if it's plain white, none of that will show up. I just don't think it's worth the money (unless money isn't an issue for you). No joke, I get my plain tees at arts and crafts stores. Stores like michaels, joanns, hobby lobby, etc. carry plain colored tees in 100% jersey cotton for like $4 for arts and crafts and screen printing, etc. They're well made, and they last forever. If you really want the best for your money this is an odd, but good option. Another option is to find out where custom t-shirt operations get their shirts and order a bunch from there. Obviously they're not going to turn a lot of heads, but neither is a $125 Armani plain white jersey tee.
