So this coming June, I am along with about a billion others, am going to MLG Anaheim! :D So, is prep
for this event I came to the fellow TL people. What should I bring to those of you who have attended?
Any tricks of the trade would be nice and just overall general notes would be nice and appreciated
since this is my first time attending an event! Also, I am hoping to compete in the open bracket just for
a bit of fun. Who knows maybe ill get kicked out by a pro?! I would be completely happy with that ^^

P.S. also on a side note....been really struggling with the ladder lately...seems I have hit the proverbial
"wall" in my climb from Plat to Diamond...really struggling right now with play and am having a hard
time just powering through the "slump" I'm in to reach the other, diamondy side of life =(

Just come and have fun.. Its a spectator experience that you won't forget, especially if there is more chairs. Meet people, and get the autographs you want and enjoy the event.

yo bring a sweater and a small bag like a satchel or a backpack. You should bring water and small snacks. I want to the last mlg anaheim and its tough to get a meal in because everyone is trying to eat in the same places that you'll go to. There's an unlimited amount of DR pepper so dont worry about your drink. If you want a seat to watch the matches, get that seat 1-2 hrs before. Trust me it fills up QUICK. and most importantly.....HAVE FUN AND MINGLE.

MLG Anaheim is going to be the Blizzcon of this year. There will be HOTS, BW Pros, DiabloIII possible. You will have a great time. Be ready to buy your pass instantly, since MLG has said this will be their biggest event yet. Those passes will sell out on the night they release them

im going! it's gonna be amazing. I went last year and it was incredible. And they're saying this ones gonna be even better.
It's gonna be a weekend to remember. Go talk to the pros, they're all very nice. Go say hi to whoevers sitting next to you, he's in the same boat as you, huge fan. It's incredible being with so many people that like the same thing as you. Really awesome experience.

Yah basically things to remember.
Seating will fill quick and you cant hold seats. Even if you ask for "NR 15" they'll say yes and rush your chairs anyway.
The food in the convention center was alright but not cost effective. There's a costco within driving distance if you wanted to tech into mass sammiches/hot dogs.
If you're planning on playing in the event, stay calm and remember to play your best to win. You can't go into a match vs. a pro and get caught up on "Holy s***! It's Huk. I better just do my best and hope my cheese wins."
If you see a guy with a hookah hanging out his backpack with horns/spikes doing interviews...That's McDuffs, he's friggin awesome. You can get a boost of hypesauce just by talking to him before a match.
On the last day, join the Distinguished Back Alley Gentlemen in celebrating another successful MLG by getting beachballs, inflating them, signing your team's names on them and bouncing them into the crowd after the best game or most hype match of the day. =D

so i went to MLG Dallas last year, and everything was fun an all but the best part was walking the halls at 3am and find a drunk  SLoG and a sleepy SeleCT. we walk to a 24hr sushi place and just chilled with them and mOoNan.
shit was crazy man..
p.s. EVERY guy you meet will be the coolest person you have ever talked to. no matter what game they play, they are all really cool and always seemed to be down to talk about games over some food.

TL Mafia is where it's at (runs generally after matches until 6-7am) when games aren't on
Twitch.tv After Party is baller as fuck, hope they have one again (they always do who am I kidding)
Bring a bunch of wetnaps. With all the Dr Pepper there's often a lot of sticky stuff.
Do not be afraid of just talking to people. Basically everyone is awesome.

I went to MLG Columbus last March and it was an it was extremely badass. I would definitely advise that you bring a camera to take some pics. I got pic's with a bunch of pro's like Grubby, Stephano, etc. I didn't really worry about autographs, but I saw a lot of people walking around getting there mouse pads signed, so if thats your thing, make sure to bring that with you. Also as everyone above me said, everyone is really nice so make sure to meet and talk to everyone. I'd also advise that you dress comfortably for the event, especially since you'll likely be there for a good 12 hours. Also check out the MLG twitter for the after party and stuff. My experience at MLG Columbus was so sick that I'm strongly considering coming for anaheim as well. You're in for a blast so get hype!

I've noticed a lot of players will bring like pillows to make their chairs more comfortable. I'd personally bring a folding chair next time since I'm a fan and there's never enough chairs. Plus, watching the open bracket matches would be way more comfortable w/ a chair. Water is always good. Snacks. If you hands get cold, hand warmers. Bring a hoodie too. Both Columbus and Providence had wild swings between cold and warm for me.

I think I shall invent some kind of wearable chair, then when security tells me I can't have my own chair I'll just stand up. When they leave I'll sit again.
