I've been trying to get into helping the eSports scene for a while now. I've got a pretty decent amount of passion, and really want to do what I can for eSports. The problem here is that I don't have ideas. I'm really not an idea kinda guy, more just a "do shit" kinda dude.
I've tried to work with some people in the scene before, and I'd say these ideas are still in the works, but I feel that I need to get more on my plate or I'm going to end up, like, not doing anything after all.
The reason for this blog, essentially, is just to offer my services. I'm a trained graphics guy, specializing in 3d graphics, but with a good amount of 2d training as well. I've got a bachelor's degree in 3d, so that's where most of my skills lie.
Basically I'm looking for work. What's great about this, is that I'm looking to work for free for the right cause. I don't have a tremendous amount of time to devote to things, as I work 40 hours a week, but at the very least I'm pretty good at consulting for what is or isn't possible for some things, or looking for a reasonable way to handle a situation.
I've got experience in most of the adobe programs, the biggest exception being illustrator, which doesn't make any sense to me. I've used it, and can, but I just don't... like to I guess. Most experience is in After Effects, Photoshop, some Flash, and I've been beating my face against premiere for a while now.
In 3d I've got experience with Maya, and pretty much only Maya. I've used Max before, but can't stand it, which is a shame because that means I can't really work with models for custom maps.
If you have need of a graphics guy who's willing to work for the experience (or replay analysis if you insist on compensating me ), please let me know, I'd love to help eSports however I can.
I'm not expecting this blog to ever be updated (maybe if I get anything and want to show it after completion), and realistically don't know if anyone will read it, but I didn't want to post it anywhere else either, figure if I post it as a blog it's not bugging anyone, right? :-/
Ah well, thanks for reading!
