So we've all had it. The game where you're behind, but not out, and your opponent starts to BM you, whether intensely or subtly. It just stirs you on the want to beat him even more, but a majority of the time, they have enough momentum to win anyways (or they wouldn't have been so cocky in the first place).
Well lately, I've experienced a rather unusual amount of this cockiness on the ladder. And I'd like to say, nothing is more satisfying than an opponent being so cocky that he reveals he has a hidden fourth because he's so ahead, and me utilizing that knowledge to make a comeback and win the game.
+ Show Spoiler +After recently destroying one of my bases.... Laughing at an attempt to break him, he had slightly more behind the fog than I realized... Confused that my army came out on top regardless moments later as I stimmed in reinforcements Had taken out his fourth at 9o'clock and replaced it with an orbital of my own. He tries to retake it to find my OC there. My army manages to take out all his expos, I'm simply amused at his frustration And comments like this by him only make my win even sweeter, despite his attempt to discredit it Well, maybe the win wasn't legitimate... nah, it definitely is hehe The win! Getting a ton of points each game regardless since I just got placed in a league/division last week when they finally fixed the placement bug.
If it's easier to just click the links since the formatting of TL is slightly annoying....

This isn't a brag blog, but rather a "relish in the moment" blog. There's a difference, since my opponent wasn't anything special skill wise. In fact, I'd love for anyone else to post SS's of them doing the same thing, as I love reading them, you don't even need to comment on my situation as long as you have one of your own to bring up.
Whoever you are Chaoxtech, thank you for the win

Always hilarious when this happens, good stuff.

I know that guy! He wanted to be practice partners, and I played him once or twice, then gradually stopped because he is not a very nice fellow. Good work :D

Sounds like an asshole. Congrats!

Nice job! It is definitely satisfying to take out a smug BMer, as you've conquered evil for the day
|
lol that was hilarious
But really I think the only way to beat BM is just to ignore them, although I can't do that either.
|
Gave this a 5/5 even before I read the screen-shots Hate cocky arseholes.
|
Chalk that up as another win for great justice.

Press F11 -> Opponent nickname -> Block
That easy!

Fixed.
Well fuckballs images didn't load.
Couldn't help myself. It's just too fun when this happens. Everything starts off GM, then when he hits my natural and kills it / forces lift a second time, he tells me to leave....!

haha nice. Giving them a taste of their own medicine :D

hah funny. I've bm'd you before FabledIntegral, It's not personal ever of course, it's because you're a macro random player. Total waste of practice time. Time to just allin. I'm not surprised you see more bm than usual for that reason though.
|
I usually tell my race though. Only very rarely do I go through phases of experimentation where I don't (notice the chat log at the start? :o). And it's not even to try to gain an advantage, it's more so to analyze the difference in people's openers and frequency of cheese, etc.
|
yeah but I can never trust you sneaky random user!
haven't been laddering much on NA recently anyway so no worries.

Random players also see allin nearly 7 out of 10 times in response^^.
Especially 4gate in PvZ. You can almost GUARANTEE they will 4gate. My build for a while I was experimenting in ZvP was 14/14 speedling expand and go heavy on the lings, just because a 4gate was nigh inevitable. My winrate skyrocketed. EVERYONE was doing it as P.
