Stream buffer and Ads

The longer I watch a Starcraft stream, it gets more delayed. I don't know if it is the speed of my computer, or my Internet connection. So, I have to refresh it, to get it back to live. It is no big deal, but it gets annoying, if I watch for a long time.

Normally it wouldn't matter at all, because I don't really need the information in real time. The only problem is, that streamers run ads. These ads are being run in real time, whereas my stream is behind. So the ad is often run right while the final attack happens, instead of after it, when the streamer in his time presses the button. Often times right in the last fight something very important happens, which determines the winner of the match, so I really want to see it. ^^

It would be great, if the stream sites could fix this. Attaching the ads to a timer in the video(like the audio is attached to the video), instead of displaying it in real time would fix that problem. That could also be nice for vods, because the ads could be run at the exact same time as they were run live, so the ad timing would make sense.

correct me if i'm wrong but isnt the video feed just replaced with ads during these phases and not paused/buffered, and the delay you are experiencing is just the summing up of random lags and has nothing to do with advertisement whatsoever? whenever i saw a stream playing an ad, the player usually was in the next game already when the ad was finished, and that's what i got to see.

It is lags, yes. But I usually don't see them, because they are very small. The lag has nothing to do with the ad. The video is just running a bit slower, maybe because of may machine. But I have written other people typing about it. So, I guess it is not only my problem.
