When I opened it, it looked something like this:

Oh, cute, I thought, "Do it yourself" kits for making "real sushi/bento/ramen". I put it aside since it wasn't exactly Christmas yet.
Note: I actually took that picture a few days after Christmas, but w/e. Also worth noting, I did believe at first glance it was to make real food, especially the ramen one. I even joked saying, "the ramen kit looks like some super microscale DIY kit, it would take me forever to make an actual filling bowl of ramen." I felt like such a retard afterwards when I found out it was all candy.
Fast forward to a few days after Christmas, BrTarolg on TLADT asked if anyone's received their secret santa presents yet. I said yes, took the picture and showed it to them, and said how I still didn't know who sent it to me, cept that they're from the UK. I also forgot who was in the secret santa pool, so it's not like I even knew who to guess. Somehow, I forgot exactly how, through a combination of Sent, and IRC, I found out it was BrTarolg, because "IIRC he was the only one from Secret Santa from the UK, so its likely." - Sent. So that explains why he kept hounding me about pictures of the present.
After that mystery was solved, BrTarolg also asked if I had used the kits yet, I hadn't because I had been busy. So he said I should stream/record me 'attempting' to make the kit. I said when I find time... and yesterday, I found time. And here are the embarrassing results.

Note: I was too lazy to edit out boring parts to save time, so these videos total approx 1.5 hours, watch at your own peril! It was also because of this I realized anyone can have a youtube account with no upload limit.
If you didn't watch the videos, I don't really blame you, I wouldn't have lasted that long either. So here's a picture instead. :D

Final Impressions
The kit was pretty fun to build. The videos BrTarolg gave me helped a TOOON. One of the related videos that person uploaded included a DIY pasta kit, which I was pretty glad I did not receive. That's because you had to roll out the individual strands of pasta noodles. Wow that would've taken forever. It was definitely more fun to build the set than it was to eat it.
As I said in ADT, I thought I'd be smart and take a picture of all of it together when finished. This led to the candy not being actually eaten until hours after it was all made. Sure it was quick to make each kit, but I used my phone to record the videos, and it only had enough space every time for one kit. I had to transfer the videos to my computer, and then delete it on my iphone before being able to record again. By the time I was done, I had dinner, so I said, let's wait till after dinner, LOL, only made it worse. By then, the majority of it had dried up, and tasted like stale semi-powdery grape flavoured chewy candy.
However, if I had to pick a favourite out of all that, it would have to be the ramen one. Since it was sitting in a mini bowl of water, it was definitely the least dried out. It also had the most bizarre flavour for candy. It basically tasted like MSG/soy sauce flavoured candy soup, and cold, uncooked ramen noodles. Fucking weird.
Random Thoughts
Everyone in ADT kept thinking it was cooking, wtf?
