Good, now that's out of the way, I want talk/ask questions about Skyrim.
Pros
+ Show Spoiler +-All skills contribute to leveling up
-Dual casting/wielding
-Perks
-High(er) level cap (80ish am I right?)
-Nice aesthetics
-More voice actors
-No more class system
-Vastly improved enchanting
-Item creation (smithing, alchemy)
And alot more
Cons
+ Show Spoiler +-Only one ring slot
-Forsworn (I have a personal grudge with them for some reason)
-Short guild/faction storylines
-Only Common+ soulgems can be used to recharge(?)
-Dark Brotherhood=Pussies compared to Oblivion
A few more, but I can't think of them ATM
That plus a few extra things is my general opinion of Skyrim, which basicly means I think it's a beasty(great) game. Just all the improvement from Oblivion, now you can get the satisfaction of Lightning Storm an enemy and see him reduced to shiny dust(yes, I know this was in fallout aswell), or the slit-throat animation when you sneak. I also think it's funny how cocky the enemy mages in this game are, like seriously, Novice mages going "I am master of the arcane!" always make me laugh, and then fireball then into the distance.
I also love the necromancer spells, that was something I searched all over Oblivion for, yeah sure, you could use the staff of worms. But who wants to carry an ugly-ass staff that ressurects someone for five seconds(or whatever it was). And the ritual spell quests, that is so awesome I can't even explain it.
Right now I'm a level 40 Breton, noteworthy skills are; Alteration 100, Enchanting 100, Destruction 100 and Illusion 60(ish). But now that I have most the skills I wanted to have maxed, I really have no idea what to do. Should I re-specialize myself in sneaky stuff? Complete the main quest? Own guards with mana-free Mass Paralysis?
That's why I turn to you, if you got any idea on what to do now please post, also you can discuss your views about Skyrim if you want to.
And yes, I can moderate my own blog, at least ban ppl. So please keep it Skyrim focused will you?

its not worth 60 bucks to me since i just do the major story lines and sometimes cool things that pop up but thats basically it. the main story wasnt as cool as morrowind but i imagine thats desensitized because of how poor the games were at the time morrowind was out compared to now as well as why im bored after beating skyrim when i could play a game like sc2 or wow for much longer (hate wow) wish skyrim was online /end

just do what I did, and try to max ALL your skills you'll find there is much more to do in Skyrim then meets the eye, spend some time running in the wilds for no reason, you're bound to find something

i wonder how much money the developers kept in there pockets from giving skyrim such bad textures worse then oblivion a game released 5 years before i think lol im pretty sure i got to play through like 3 quests that actually had good story the rest were go here kill this or that go back theres just too little depth to the game the characters are just so dull

You can try to find a mod that will let you continue to improve your skills past 100 if you're missing the growth aspect of your character.
Or like Xiron said, complete the main quest and be done with it.

lol 400 characters i guess the characters are much much worse then i first thought quantity doesnt beat quality
if you could name one good character in skyrim i could name 20 more in morrowind

Yea, I should play the main story I guess. And also, I used to play Morrowind. When I was like... 10 ? Hahaha
But seriously, Morrowind, as I remember it at least, was so goddamn hard/frustrating. I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply anymore as it is a long time since I played it...
About the bad textures, I don't understand what you're talking about. I'm just happy my laptop can run the game at all :D

When you go up to bleak falls barrow i think or whatever and there are bandits in a lil destroyed house thing just walk in there and youll see what i mean by bad textures

^ didnt have a problem with either of these really.
my cons :
- game breaking bugs
- Easy, obvious exploits
- Awful enemy/combat AI (get stuck behind rocks, predictable actions)
- Dragons are weaker than bears (wtf?)
But yea it's cool how much of a badass you eventually become, and the freedom in perks, class, etc.
but i agree with Bd.snake about the textures. Lots of it was directly ported from fallout. There is very little detail on objects, and lots of things have obvious geometrics instead of smooth surfaces.
i mean i don't care at all about graphics, and it's nice that they made the game be completely devoid of loading screens, but even i noticed that they went pretty cheap on the graphics.
btw there's already tons of mods to improve the visuals of the game, there's a post about it here on TL somewhere. (PC only, obviously)

can't ban staff kekeke so let's talk about Minesweeper, the best game ever.....
Anyway the part I love most about Skyrim (and Bethesda games in general) is that once I've completed the game, I can go back and play as a different class/style, pick different sides, and in the end come out with a completely different experience....and then I can do it a third time. IMO just pick a different style (say 2-handed) and start the game over

its tough to keep playing the game and the storylines were SOOOO short they REALLY needed to extend the side quests length and depth

It depends on how you enjoy the game.
From what I understand, you focused all your attention to certain specific skills as you progressed which is great to gain power early on but it does lag you up in the end when those are maxed.
Personally, I played 2 characters so far. The first one was similar to yours. It was an Orc Male with 100 smithing, 100 one handed, 100 block, 100 heavy armor. It made things straightforward and easy to kill stuf early on. The downside is that you outgrow stuff early on and feel too easy but as you progress, the reverse effect happens if you wish to keep leveling. I finished the main quest with this character and I was done with it.
My second character was a mix. I built it on a high elf and ran to the lover stone (+15% all skill gains) straight from the beginning. I mixed my armor using light armor for the body with heavy gear for the head and shield. I would often witch between a 2h and a 1h. Between each fight, I used double restoration spell (not dual casted) to level it up faster (it gave +30% over the same time).
This made it harder in the beginning because my skill ups were all over the place. however, at level 42, most of my skills are at a comfortable level and nothing lags behind too far (except archery for some reason). I also didn't even get the dragonstone yet and simply explored everywhere. I found it more fun doing so than focused attention.

the problem with the graphics is that Skyrim was made to function on the current consoles so a vast improvement over oblivion was not possible anyway. I am happy that they improved on some subtle things like characterdesign and the spelldesign but I didnt expect it to be on Crisis level graphic wise.
My main problem with the game is that compared to Morrowind the questlines are ridiculously short and uninspired.

The detail on the textures was probably due to the fact this game is a port from the console version to be used on the PC. I think the Thieves Guild was probably the longest quest chain in the game and one of the more exciting ones. They are releasing a big patch for the PC version to fix a ton of bugs and add in a few other things, which should help the game out. Skyrim is still a big improvement in my eyes, some of the good from Oblivion and some of the good from Morrowind spliced together, I cannot wait until the expansion packs come out.
As for some people having Dragons being killed by bears and giants, you need to level up more. The Dragons scale much faster than the other enemies in the game and will kill giants and mammoths with ease.
Either way, I am about level 50 and haven't done the main quest yet, just going around doing side quests in every town other than that, I am not sure what else you could do.

After completing the game with two chars i can safely say that modded oblivion is actually much better than skyrim
