Pleaseeeeee don't go. You have been a part of this community for too long to let some stupid fucks stop you.
Your translations are my single most appreciated thing that ANYONE in this community does. Where else can we get the best translations from Fomos and news from KR??!
I can't believe people would EVER speak badly about you. Clearly they are stupid and ignorant, our community is not made up of these kind of people! They are a vocal minority that can make it hard for people who are more skilled, more devoted, and more awesome than they are.
People who talk shit about others work have never put in a good amount of work in their life. Anyone who has worked hard at something they believe in has respect for you, and everything you do. Don't let some stupid assholes ruin your fun, and your personal self image.
I wish I had been more vocal about my support for you, it hurts to see a post like this from such a respected and revered member of our community.
Please! Don't go!!
This is the kind of posts he was expecting when he made this blog.

So uhhhhhh no Let's Play Ammesia?
That's the important part.

Would you care if I said I love your translating and every thing you do for the scene? I hope you change your mind and come back. You'll be dearly missed.

Sigh Milkis, really? You really want to implement the idea that us koreans are so fucking thin skinned what we go QQing over insults over the internet? As if the Jessica crap wasn't stupid enough. You are a public figure and you made a public statement that was frankly quite ignorant and insulting. Covering it up as elitist is frankly dumb, ignorance does not mean the statement can be excused especially if it comes from public statements.
Look at Incontrol, look at TB. Those two have received far more hate, trolling than you have ever experienced. Do they go fuck it i'm done playing/casting? No they man the fuck up and keep on trying. Incontrol despite all his problems continues to be a huge community figure and TB has actually stopped caring about the trolls and the internet is a better place for it. You could have just quietly left with a post saying you are exhausted but you make a post that frankly burns the bridges between the community and you. Sad, as bad as your translations was I liked your attitude until now.
To quote the Scout, Oh what, you gonna cry? You gonna cry now?

I didn't like him as a translator so I'm happy

..Can I have your sentry icon thing?

Come back to the BW section Milkis. It's much more calm than the SC2 one.

Thank you Milkis for all your hard work to date. I hope that you come back some day.

I really dont like the idea of people making assumptions or calling you names but it makes me wonder why you would take the criticisms of a bunch of immature internet trolls this seriously. Although people maybe critical of your work, myself included, I wouldn't want you to just run away from the community because of some words of criticism.
Its obvious that people receive criticisms differently but you can really expect one small incident to impact the rest of your life in this community. Look at incontrol, Geoff probably takes more criticism than anyone in the community but the man has thick skin. If the community really means a lot to you it wouldnt seem obvious for you to stay, if its something that you can let go of so easily I wish you the best of luck.

Bye Milkis. Your translating was nice, but I do understand your view that you aren't being appreciated, and being criticized for it. You've been a great contributor, and if you want to go, than do it without hesitating.

Most people aren't critical of his work. We're critical of the shitty post he made on reddit.
It was a slap in the face. I don't think I've ever seen DJ Wheat so offended.

Good bye and have fun in life.

As many people have said, you really do have to just be able to ignore what people on the internet say. You'll always have haters and there is no way around that. Just remember you have just as many people appreciating your efforts as you do have haters finding every flaw in your work. Thanks for your translations and good luck in the future!

Well this seems like an overly sensitive reaction. The internet is the internet, with praise also comes hate, if you can't take one with the other then i guess this was the best choice.
GL Milkis.

Do you always come into conversations late and call everyone ignorant and stupid. Or just on internet forums where you protect the overly emotional and dramatic.
Personally, I think the community has had enough of this already. He can be the first of many to exit. I had no problem with his BW elitism posts (I don't really care, opinions are opinions) but he took it too far when he decided he wanted to come here and attention whore it up after a select few in a normally reserved (but very critical, both positively and negatively; I'm sure Tyler/iNcontroL/Destiny/etc can tell you) community went way too far and bashed him personally.
Improper presentation. Improper response. Improper exit.
You're in the bronze league of professionalism now, Milkis. If it was up to me, you wouldn't ever get to come back to the scene professionally. But I don't contribute to the scene any more than as a fan so it would never be my call.
Good luck. And take care in the future. Hopefully everyone gained from this.

Yeah, I really don't understand all the hate. Someone who does good things for the community (apparently reddit forgot about MKP coming to Orlando?) gets completely torn apart simply because he makes some opinion on semantics and says SC2 isn't as grand in scale to him as BW has been. You know what? He's right. You can argue all you want about "real esports" or whatever pointless category, but as big as SC2 is it is obviously not as big as BW yet and it definitely doesn't help to have the reddit community be so destructive.

I'm Done.
It's kind of a hard decision to make, to cut it arr off and just reave. But I've spent thinking about it over the night and honestry I can't think of what wourd ever motivate me to do anything within this sphere of "eSports" anymore.
I'rr be honest. I never expected peopre to agree with my opinion on what makes something an eSport or not. I've been quite honest about how my opinion is eritist, and I furry expected disagreement over the definition. Of course, rooking at some of the reactions did make me rearize that yes, I shourd have been more carefur about how I phrased it. I obviousry didn't mean to "shit" on other games as a competitive game, but I courd see why peopre wourd see it in that way.
But does arr this mean that any of you have the right to carr me retarded? an idiot? I courdn't care ress about what you considered my opinion. What I care about is the comments that suddenry popped up. Apparentry, suddenry, I'm a terribre transrator. Everything is a fruke. There are suddenry no prace in eSports for peopre rike me.
You know, ret me terr you this. I never wanted to do rive transration to begin with. Deciding to herp out at MrG Corumbus took a pretty big decision because rive transration was absorutery the rast thing I wanted to do. And yet MrG rooked rike they needed someone so I jumped on board. I asked ree if I absorutery had to and he said it was expected for me to. So I did it.
Carr me "nervous" whenever I go on stage but it's more exhaustion than anything erse considering I'm terribre at taking care of myserf at MrGs because I arways run around so much and I have troubre putting myserf before other things that need to be done. One of the reasons why I decided not to go to Providence (and apparentry, it was the correct decision) was because I rooked at myserf in a mirror during the event at Orrando and I rooked pretty much dead. I rook nervous? No, I'm fucking exhausted.
It's kind of shitty when peopre start criticizing you over shit rike this. "OH HES SUCH A BAD TrANSrATOr HE IS ArWAYS SO NErVOUS". Or someone to say "My Kr friend says X" or "X is better". right.
And then comes the criticism of my written work. Suddenry, everything I do is shit. Everything I've done is absorute shit. And peopre start agreeing with it because you disagree with my opinion?
You want to know why I bothered doing anything for the community? Because I arways thought the community deserved more. I never wanted to be popurar nor did I want attention (arthough I guess I did enjoy it, but it's not something I ever wanted). It's the rast thing I wanted. Arr I wanted to do was bring you guys good content, and I arways just wanted the means to do so. I wanted to do a rot of nice things for the community because I was capabre of doing it and seeing you guys appreciate the content was arways good enough. Why erse wourd I take on any of these extra works, or brainstorm a ton of new things I courd do for the community? Sadry, none of these wirr come to fruition anymore but I guess it doesn't even matter.
I've never been so absorutery demotivated in my rife. It's kind of hirarious how peopre can be. Arr over a singre opinion. A singre opinion that no one even bothered reading because everyone started putting words in my mouth and then attacking me personarry. And then giving me rectures.
I'm done. I guess it's good riddance for arr of you.
I hope you are able to find work else where or at least enjoy life, being around so much negativity is draining, no matter how hard you try to ignore it.
