Also don't complain about cheese when it happens to you; its part of the game. If you can't defend against silver-league cheese then you don't deserve to be in gold imo.

Even if you lose, you learn from it. They just do the same stupid cheese over and over and don't improve from it.

In fact, I think that trying to play "good games" in lower leagues before learning to scout, identify builds, and defend cheese is kind of putting the card before the horse. Macro games shouldn't occur because both players blindly decide to macro hard, but rather because players are confident in their ability to defend while expanding. Do safe builds and scout, and you will be ahead of cheesers.

Don't let cheese catch you off guard; take steps to prevent it-scout early, defend early.

On the bright side, when you learn to beat cheese you will feel like a little bonjwa and own people and laugh all the way to platinum league.

It'll teach you a lot about different play styles as well as the weaknesses of your race's cheeses.

All the top cheeser's consort with demons and tamper with souls to become the masterful scourge of the ladder that they are. Eventually as their power grows their body becomes deformed and soul corrupt, until their only objective in life is to offer up more noob souls' and ladder points to their masters for more power. They are Cheese Lich's, so to speak. Don't bother with trying to get away from cheese by becoming the best, that will only lead to Cheese Lich's slowly break apart all your positive emotions and hopes through each game you play against them, win or lose. If you do such a thing, you may very well end up as an emotionless husk, who keeps playing because that's the only thing in life that let's you feel, even if it is only rage, sadness and betrayel. + Show Spoiler + ![]()

It's part of the game, and technically legit - just know that you're working to become a better player, while they just want the points and (in some cases) to get you to ragequit.
