EPTWe had a good time snapping tree branches at each other, and throwing rocks at nearby wood chucks. We were almost out of the woods when I tripped and fell on my ass. Of course the first response they gave was a lot of laughter. I got up slowly and saw the exit to the woods, I pointed it out and we raced there. Garrett was the first one to make it there, and I was second, Paul, Brandon, and Josiah came up from behind, panting like dogs. As we stepped onto the street, I felt for my phone, it wasn't there. "My phone's gone." I said. "Wait one second, let me go back and see it it's where I fell." I ran back and found the spot where I tripped, and saw my phone. As I went to pick it up, I looked around "What could I have tripped on?" I looked all along the ground, not a single stick, rock, or hole for me to have tripped on. I looked around, there seemed to be a lot of fog in the woods. I was about to look back towards my friends, when I saw a strange looking tree take shape in the fog. It looked completely normal, but, there was what appeared to be a head on it. Due to the fog, all I saw was a silhouette of the tree, but once I saw the weird head shape on the tree, I noticed, other, strange things about the tree. It's trunk seemed to be split near the bottom, and it only seemed to have eight branches. As I finally turned away, I could have sworn, at the last second when I lost sight of it...it moved. I became somewhat paranoid by that and jogged back.
The rest of the night is a blur, but I do remember, that while we were watching t.v. someone moved past the basement window, and when he did, the t.v. freaked out. I woke up the next day...in the woods.
