I just received a phone call from MTV in New York. They asked if I was the president of the StarCraft Competitive Gaming club on my campus, at which point I got really excited since I thought they wanted to do a quick documentary of some sort on our club and competitive StarCraft gaming as a whole.
My hype elevates as they tell me that they're coming to my campus to film a TV show, and my expectation shatters to pieces as they tell me it's a TV show focused around student sexuality and LGBT rights hosted by Dan Savage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Savage) and was asking me to spread the word to my club so they can get a diverse group of opinions for their open forum. Throughout the entire conversation I'm trying to figure out what any of this has to do with StarCraft and the club.
I was so confused, but I told her that we were a gaming club and let her know that our campus had a very active LGBT organization, but I was informed that since our club was into gaming and "role-playing" that someone would definitely be interested if I made the announcement.
I am still absolutely confused right now. So much for ESPORTS

"role-playing". Who's doing the baneling busting at your club?

You've made me quite confused now as well shindigs @_@;

Lmao... you would think MTV could only fail so much.

I'm assuming they're just cold calling all campus organizations to prep for the event, but an interesting situation nonetheless.

When MTV gets there, tell them that there's a new sexuality in town: "Love for video games."
I'm lame.

In the rear with the gear...

Gosh, thats depressing, gamers=gay is not exactly the outlook I was hoping for when I saw this title.

We've already had one thread with a nydus her main joke today. Let's not force down another one of these painful starcraft pun travesties.

Anyone remember MTV back in the old days when it was actually about music and not terrible TV shows? hahaha.
Good times.

This is such fail on a scale beyond imaginable-over 9000. MTV really has lost its credibility, hasn't it?

Because..it's usually a sausage fest.....

This makes MTV look FAR wore than anything they could have done to Esports. "So we heard you guys were into Starcraft 2 roleplaying and you may or may not be homosexual." WHAT? I am actually ashamed this channel is allowed to air anymore considering how stupid this is.

I'm using that next SC2 LAN I go to, hahahaha.
So glad I'm last person at work, I couldn't hold my laughter back.

MTV is full of rocket scientists -_-'

Hilarious Esports fighting!!!

only one thing to do. send your best debater and have him/her explain how the LGBT community is awesome because sexuality does not affect one's ability to play Starcraft and then go off on several subtle tangents to change the topic to one about the future of ESports. I can see it now. "The viewership of this 'MLG' has nothing to do with..." "Are you trying to discredit the fact that an online stream allows anyone with internet connection to watch it? MLG is a clear supporter of anyone who supports Esports. Trust me: I 'role-play.'"
