Also, the fact that you find yourself linguistically dazzled by your professor, yet you present yourself as a "translator", an interpreter or sorts, amuses me to no end.

English Syntax taught by anyone that doesn't have a traditional english accent is next to impossible. Although comparing other languages as unintelligable is odd and insulting. Most of the professors I had in college didn't care if you had headphones in, computers open, sleeping or not even show up for class. They understand it's your responsibility to get the information yourself.

The rule in england is, stand on the right side, walk on the left. My brother always felt the need to apply this to the far-less populated local mall on the countryside of Norway. So whenever he saw somebody stand on the left side, or vice versa, he would get pissed and kind of push them away. However, what pissed him off even more was when immigrants stood/walked on the wrong side of the escalator. Does this make me a horrible human being? On topic, if you can't understand him just leave. I've kicked plenty of lectures where the professor didn't speak German and had terrible English skills. And headphones in a lecture are a no-go where I come from. Seems disrespectful towards the professor.

Some university departments *cough NYU Courant* only give a shit about the research these guys can accomplish. And the research accomplishments are a lion's share of national rankings. I can't tell you how many Russian/Asian/Middle Eastern professors I've had to struggle to understand. They know their subjects well but can't speak English worth a lick. Actually I have only had 2 American professors in my field of major that I can remember... and I'm a junior now.

While they continue to blabber on in what might as well be french? I had a friend who was studying Chinese and he quit his classes because he went to Chinatown to practice his Chinese and he got laughed at everywhere :\ I'm currently doing uni in France, and from what i've seen most people find that foreign accents are perfectly acceptable. There are people from all over the world here, and not once have I seen someone discouraged to continue speaking French because they don't have perfect accent. I had a math professor from Egypt. I've never heard an Arabian accent before in my life so naturally on the first day, I had a hard time understanding what he was saying. After a week, I then started to get used to it. Today, I now perfectly understand every word he's saying. I tried, and succeeded. The "dumb American" thing is definitely a prevalent comment to be found, but it was never about how you pronounce their language, it stems from something else, a combination of things in fact - namely the attitude of a large percentage of americans-who-thinks-the-world-starts-from-california-and-ends-in-maine have on the world. I've never understood the need to listen to perfect English all the time. On top of that, this demand for "perfect accent" seems to only come from native-English speakers who feel that English should be the only language in the world. You, of all people, native speakers, should require the less effort to understand someone speaking your language - but you just didn't bother to try hard enough.

What happened when I moved? The worst. I couldn't go a day without an idiot coming up and making fun of me and my brothers everywhere I went. They came up to us and said "ching chong ding dong" and all that crap to us and poked fun of us because we didn't look like them. These people told us to open our eyes and they mocked us. Over time, I learn to deal with it. It was hard though, and only the 4 or 5 who actually respected me became my good friends. I don't recommend moving to the U.S. Not one bit. At least not to Arkansas. It's horrendous what they say to foreigners here. Even at our local chinese restaurant, nobody was nice to the manager or the waiters there. Bots ban people for using bad language or so I've heard. Need to use words like educated people, and arguements that make sense to actually have a discussion, not throw random profanity at others.

So what if rei likes to have his fun, those idiots need to be brought down a notch, even if they're only school kids. And so what if 0123456789 acts the way he does. We don't even know if he's a troll or not, and we don't know if he acts like that in public.

Let's review, you call all black people African American, the most common chinese Phase you know of is "ching Chong Ding Dong", you calls black people nigger and korean gooks in order to break the ice, and you think ni hao mao actually is a way to say hello in Chinese, and you refer to yourself as a Chinese. At lease you admitted being ignorance, the first step of rehab is to admit there is a problem right? So please keep typing, keep defending yourself, entertain us. the first step of rehab is to admit there is a problem right? I make fun of my own race, therefore I make fun of myself. You seem to have a problem with that. Like I'll say it right now. I'm a stupid part chinese person who has a small weiner and can't get black chicks because they tell me my dick is too small. They also don't like the fact that I'm very short and can't play basketball well, and I get owned by black people who slam dunk over my head, then they teabag me as I stand in awe under the rim and yell out "IN YOUR FACE YAO MING!" oh by the way ppl in TL are not dumb, they already seen enough to come to the conclusion that you are a racist without me pointing you out. So please keep typing, keep defending yourself, entertain us Are you defending your own race, which you seem to have an inferiority complex over, or do you go out and defend all races. I don't see you responding to posts where white people are saying I HATE WATCHING KOREANS WIN! I'M NOT RACIST, I JUST DON'T LIKE KOREAN PEOPLE! I watch GSL not for the game or the players, but for Tasteless and Artosis. Let me break the world out to you. Racism is everywhere. Most people won't tell you that they are racist in your face. Society says that's not good, especially in America where racism is a touchy issue because of the black people that were enslaved for many years. However, psychologists did experiments and found out that HEY! Like a majority meaning over 50% at the very least were in fact racists in hiding. They were racist, but they hid it. But when provoked, their inner racism would come out. Anyways, you are a hypocrite who calls me racist, when in reality you are racist. You only care about your race. You don't care about the Tibetians that want a country of their own, or the North Koreans suffering under a dictator regime. It all comes down to the fact that other races have made fun of your race, you are angry and bitter. The white guys who are cooler than you are and have more authority in a country where they are the majority has made you feel like a fat girl for many many years. This has caused you to lose a lot of self esteem in life and makes you very much like a girl who is easily offended when someone calls them fat. Despite the fact, that they are not at all fat. But if I call a skinny girl, fat every day of her life, she will start to believe that she is fat. But it's okay. The first step is admitting it. Then the next is not caring about it. It's a hard road ahead of you, but all you need to do is think to yourself, it's not dick sizes that make us superior. It's what league in SCII we are in. Peace, this has been fun. Until next time!
