Yes. Except for those made by Rekrul, because everybody cares about Rekrul.

For me, I'm not attending an MLG because it's all the way in fucking America. I don't fancy a 7 - 8 hour flight and lots of paperwork for a tourist visa just to see a few players play SC.
If they hosted an MLG here in Britain (rumored cos of a tweet that TotalBiscuit got mentioned in), then I'd willingly go, even if it's on the other side of the country.

I am pretty sure reddit would be mad at you if you posted this on it

Didn't he post "Who cares" in Rekruls blog as a weird mean of retaliation against him? If it did happen before Rekruls post, it indeed is truly amazing.

o you are right, i'm dumb. oh well, good riddance

If there was an MLG in the southern hemisphere i would go

Seems weird to post like this because... to be honest it isn't all that interesting cus, yeah, most of us didn't know who you were ( I didn't, atleast). If it was, say, a caster for the event or a TL mod which people had anticipated coming - people would CARE. No disrespect to you, but it sounds like to me you're just complaining subtletly about MLG and want people to agree with you. Even if you make arguements for staying at home.
Oh and don't fuck with Rekrul, bad bad BAD idea. Also, why would you assume that someone with 14k posts and a motherfuckin grim reaper wouldn't be a respected TL'er? sheesh.. that PM man, that PM..

1) Didn't mean to make waves, which is why I PM'ed Rekrul, he was the one who decided to post the PM in the thread 2) I don't follow or care about what happened in Broodwar in 2003 or have encyclopedia knowledge of every high post count has-been in the scene 3) StarCrack is an SC2 podcast with very little discussion about BW. 4) Posting "no one cares" can be said in just about every blog post on this site. 5) I like making bullet point lists to prove my point 6) The TL mods have yet again proved why Reddit is more relevant in the SC2 scene and sites like Wellplayed.org have sprout up. They have an unabashed bias towards high post count members which is was shown by issuing me a warning when I posted "who cares" in Rekrul's blog yet none was issued to him or the other douche who quoted him.
How on earth does TL caring more about a member like Rekrul who has done so much for foreign starcraft than someone who runs a random podcast no one has ever heard of except that one time Incontrol promoted it prove Reddit is more "relevant"?

If you're that concerned about watching every game then I guess you'd be better served staying home but the social aspect of meeting so many people who share a passion for this thing that maybe a handful of the people you know at home like is really underrated. For me that's a much larger draw for going to future MLGs as a spectator than viewing the games live at the venue. The downtime is half the fun!
And 3 hours? Really? Pshhh.
I absolutely agree that everyone should go to at least one live MLG if they can. But for subsequent ones, it won't be THAT different, and the comfort factor at home is a much bigger deal.
