Seriously though, just go the speed limit and you will rarely get pulled over. I used to speed as well, until I realized that getting to my destination 1-5 minutes quicker just isn't worth it. Since I stopped speeding, I almost never get pulled over(and when I do, I somehow get let go).

Finishing college and working only part time, it was too expensive to maintain. Been taking the bus/bike ever since. Also remember driving is a privilege, not a right. I love driving, but you won't appreciate what you have until you lose it. Be smart, drive safe. I agree very much so with the bold part. I feel no sympathy for you as my life would be a lot easier if there weren't so many reckless drivers on the road.

if you were inebriated the cop probably knew you were so you deserved the 45mph ticket cops waiting at the downhill to get people are douchebags, but you were going 47 on a 30 thats retarded as fuck. protip: don't hit the gas on downhills

Here is what I do. You know the "noone" else is around bs? Yeah, that is when you drive slow as crap. When there is a bunch of traffic, and most are at or slightly over the speed limit anyways, then going another 5-10 will hardly get you noticed. Just stay mostly with the flow of traffic and you'll be fine 99% of the time. Oh yea, and never drive if you've had ANYTHING alchoholic to drink. If you do, you're just an idiot plain and simple. Also, pro-tip, I've never known anyone who got pulled over for going 70 in a 60..... I'll bet it was more like 80 in a 60, and he just put 10 over because going 20 over can be a ticket of ~$400 or more, and most cops really aren't douchebags.

I don't think driving is the problem. I think you should just learn to be... well... less dumb.

Idiocy, don't drink and drive. Don't use a car if you can't afford the expenses you plan on having (gas, insurance, repairs, checks, tickets). Speeding is meh, you break the law, you get caught, you pay up. Think of it as payment for getting to the destination faster sometimes. You just dont pay a bit every time you go speeding, you pay a lot when you get caught. As for drinking, ask for a blood test if it's that low. By the time you get to the hospital, with a bit of effort it should be quite low. On the other hand don't fucking drink and drive, ever. You'll be held accountable for any accident you have if you're drunk. On top of that you're under 21 and you're not even supposed to have a drop of alcohol in your blood. Still, even if you turn 21, DON'T EVER FUCKING DRINK AND DRIVE. You'll know why after your first crash after a beer or 2. Especially if it's not really your fault but you're still drunk. Was how a cousin of mine stopped drinking anything when driving. Think shitting his pants in fear of being accused for something that wasn't his fault did the trick. As the people above have mentioned cops don't really give tickets for 10 above the limit. It's within their devices' tolerances usually. Your car also shows higher speed than real, the higher real speed the more inaccurate the meter is (usually up to 10 miles above real speed on the speedy end of the car). I will never get people that break the law but seem not so ready to pay for it. Always be sure you can handle whatever comes your way when you cross the line. Or else just don't.

But these days, the media and lawyers, working together, are trying to convince people that personal responsibility doesn't and shouldn't exist. Get fat? Blame McDonalds. Get hurt being a moron? Blame the property owner. Get a ticket? Blame the cop.

I was 22 at the time Drinking age is 19 in Ontario I blew less than half of the legal limit But I was a G2 driver .. I spent over 3.5 years on a G2 being too lazy to go for my G test. As a G2 driver you are permitted a Blood alcohol limit of ZERO. But I was and still am understanding the entire blame is put on me. I received a 30 day mandatory suspension from the ministry of transportation I was booted off of my parents insurance as a secondary driver.. One full year AFTER the incident. The cheapest insurance I could find, as a secondary driver, was over 8,000 a year. 19,000 as a primary driver. Hey! Just take responsibility for your actions. Lord knows i'm still paying for mine lol T_T

+ Show Spoiler + I have gotten zero tickets so far while driving. I don't drive at or below the speed limit most of the time. It comes down to common sense and also owning a car that doesn't have the front end tilt forwards when applying the brakes before getting to a ghost car.

In my almost 4 years of driving I go 5 above the speed limit and haven't been pulled over so why don't you just slow down a little bit? I am surprised you got a ticket going 70 in a 60 but the 45 over 30 is just why would you do that? Also you are driving at midnight and speeding a lot thats where cops love to pull people over encase they have been drinking or smoking pot or doing who knows what. At least where I live driving at night is where you want to stay like the speed limit as thats when cops aren't as nice about not pulling people over.

Seriously, you are on a great track to kill someone. Drinking and driving is fucking dumb. Personally, I always drive 10 over but always drive safely by keeping distance and having 100% attention of the road (never been pulled over). Although 10 over is kinda the norm anyways. New Hampshire, live free or die.
