I regularly listen to the various OSTs that have been released over the years even to this day. I would like to share my love this series, so join me on an audio walkthrough of my favorite tracks across the OSTs. I endear the slower and more dramatic pieces so ... Dim the lights, pour some fine wine, and put on your best headphones ... ~ ~ ~ I begin with my most favorite, the three-piece opus of Rei. ~~~ Following Rei ... Thanatos is the greek personification of death. Though the song is anything but dreary! ~~~ The ever epic and melodic EVA UNIT 01 ... ~~~ "Those Women Longed for the Touch of Others' Lips, and Thus Invited Their Kisses." In other words ... Fly me to the Moon (piano arrangement); a tribute to Misato ~~~ ~~~

Blisse Canada3710 Posts August 30 2011 05:24 GMT #4 I think a few of these threads are going to pop up. Brb making one for FMA. I love anime soundtracks. A lot of them really fit with the series, and sound great in the process. Never really got into Neon Genesis Evangelion, but maybe this will.

AzTec Canada178 Posts August 30 2011 06:03 GMT #9 I only have the first OST but I listen to it pretty regularly, Tokyo-3 is probably my favourite track off it. I'm a huge Eva fan though and especially interested in allusions to the series outside anime (music or otherwise), so I figured I'd upload this split from two Japanese punk bands: The first band is Carcass Grinder who are a grindcore band that reference anime all the time in their work. The tracks on this split aren't anything too special but they have some awesome Eva samples in them. The other band on the split however has a really sweet track, the band's called Navel and their song is entirely about the series.
