Many years ago, Neon Genesis Evangelion not only brought to me a thrilling television show, but a soundtrack for the ages. I regularly listen to the various OSTs that have been released over the years even to this day. I would like to share my love this series, so join me on an audio walkthrough of my favorite tracks across the OSTs. I endear the slower and more dramatic pieces so ...

I think a few of these threads are going to pop up. Brb making one for FMA.

I love anime soundtracks. A lot of them really fit with the series, and sound great in the process.

Never really got into Neon Genesis Evangelion, but maybe this will.

I only have the first OST but I listen to it pretty regularly, Tokyo-3 is probably my favourite track off it. I'm a huge Eva fan though and especially interested in allusions to the series outside anime (music or otherwise), so I figured I'd upload this split from two Japanese punk bands:

The first band is Carcass Grinder who are a grindcore band that reference anime all the time in their work. The tracks on this split aren't anything too special but they have some awesome Eva samples in them. The other band on the split however has a really sweet track, the band's called Navel and their song is entirely about the series.

Hope this isn't considered hijacking but if you're like me and enjoy Eva + music I know it's always awesome to see the series referenced somewhere completely unexpected like on a grindcore tape.
