Hey !
I will be in Seoul for 1 month with my girlfriend who is korean.
Many reasons for that :
I love my girlfriend ! (kind of obvious :D) I love learning korean, very beautiful language (jeongmal yeppeoyo) I love starcraft and starcraft legends (MarineKing is my favourite ) I love korean musics (Kara, SNSD, J.ae, MC Mong, Gil Me, As One, Yiruma... ) Norae nomou djoayo <3 I love korean movies I love korean dramas I love some aspects of the korean culture (respect, empathy, hardworking etc) I love starcraft community and would be glad to meet some starcraft fans there
If I have the possibility I would be glad to work 40h by week. (pihengipyo nomou pissayo T_T )
ps : also I plan on getting a korean version of starcraft, do you think I can then succeed play on korean server once I will be back in France ? Or latency is too high ?
|
When I read MarineKing next to "starcraft legends" I almost fell out of my chair. That aside, I'm glad you get to visit Korea with your girlfriend. Hopefully I can do the same thing when I come back from France. Lastly, I agree with you. Flights are crazy expensive nowadays ㅠ_ㅠ

Marine King has a crazy sexy marine micro :D I know he is far from being as much respected as Jaedong, Flash, Sav... mh not him xD , Boxer or Nada, but I like him a lot Next players I like the best are Nada and Leta (very sexy wraith micro )
|
Yes, he has good micro, but i doubt in BW if he uses T his micro would be as good. I almost choked from my coffee mentioning him next to the word legend. More like historical figure. Have fun in Korea!
|
Well sure his macro is not that great but he offered us great shows : defeating baneling gling muta with marines without combat shield for a whole game on Shakuras, and countering gateway proxy with barrack expand xD that was so incredible
|
I wish you the best in your relationship! Also, regarding Leta's wraith micro, + Show Spoiler +check out his match against CrazyHydra in the KT vs CJ playoffs Day 1. It's happening now lol, actually.
|
I wish you luck, and if you need any help then just PM Me. ^.^ Hope you'll find a job and just ask your girlfriend to help put your profile up on a DAUM or Naver Blog to help find a job! A lot of people want to learn french!

I'm making a Korean food vlog for youtube, you can bone up on some Korean food. I'll have the first vid up by tomorrow at the latest. Have fun and go easy on the soju. If you make it down to the southern part of the peninsula, to a little city called Pohang, send me a message, we'll meet up.

I had some guides written out until I realized that you were referring to SC2 not BW.
Please specify next time: starcraft could mean 2 things.

mizu@ I will be Seoul from 3 to 29 of August Seoulaesseo isseulkoyaeyo, 3 il bouto, 29 kaji.
I'm still huge fan of broodwar Starcraft mean 2 things but I love both games, even if they are very different games, there are still lot of similarities btw Leta is on BW not sc2

So much on SPL, but MSL/OSL will still be an option for you, especially MSL if you like Leta.
Met him in real life, such a cutie boy <3

Have fun when you get here, but just a little note to say - you cannot work legally here. Especially not teaching English (or anything else.)
|
Its gonna be hard to get a korean copy of SC2 because you need a SSN and that sort of thing, but if your girlfriend has one GRATZ! I just bought a TW copy of it before the server merge so I should have a KR account after the merge :D Also if you could tell me how your trip goes because I want to go to seoul as well!
|
NeverGG@ of course you can my korean friends told me, but its very hard because its seen as very bad. But for 1 month its okay, I have to not tell because as you say illegal work is not tolerate there unlike in France. Anyways, job is only a plus, it's not the main reason of my visit Chanyman@ I'll tell you about it

Yes, it is seen as very bad since it is illegal. It's not 'okay' as you put it, for any length of time. Well, it's your choice if you want to break the law, but I wish people would try to respect them instead. It gives those of us who live/work her legally, and don't want to become criminals a bad name.

In fact I can work legally with the holiday working visa, that I can get, I have all documents, but unfortunately its only for 1 year, and if I use it for 1 month I can't use 11 months later... so I prefer to keep for 2 years later because I might return. I didnt know it could harm anyone and I trust your vords so I won't, don't worry.
