EPTI'm not a person who blogs but i feel like I may be a person other players can relate too.
A little back story about myself. I was born in Everett Washington in the US on April 2nd 1991. From a super young age I was instantly enthralled with video games, i played Warcraft 1 at a very early age and it was a great outlet when my parents divorced when i was little. My dad was a gamer, he played various RPG and RTS games. He was very encouraging of my passion for gaming.
My mother is the inverse. She's not a horrible mom, she just doesn't understand how someone can be so dedicated to playing what she calls a waste of life. Throughout my childhood her and my step dad constantly butted heads with me about gaming. I was constantly told I was wasting valuable time that could be used doing something constructive. This disregard for my passion and other personal reasons caused me to move out of my mothers house prematurely and in with some friends.
Now the for the reason i'm creating this blog. I honestly LOVE esports. I cant think of any industry i'd rather work in. I was a avid CS 1.6 and source player, played TF2 on a team and played SC1 tons. With the release of SC2 I fell completely in love with it. I play everyday and progress little by little but i feel like with the amount i have to work just to barely make enough money to pay rent and feed myself just crushes the little hope I have of getting anywhere serious.
I wanna make it into the epsorts scene. I want to prove that the time I've invested wasn't a waste of time.
SC2 is about the community and to you the heart of SC2 I ask for your help. I have set a stream to record my journey to make it. I ask for your support to make this dream come true, doesn't need to be money by any means, just the knowledge that the community takes interest in what i want to devote myself to is enough. This isn't a plan to get pro but more a plan to get somewhere to validate my efforts and then be in a spot to give back to the community that helped me get there.
