It seems only fitting that in the week after SlayerS has introduced SlayerS_Eve, we have the pleasure to announce our first female proposter: Liquid`Riku.

Riku has rocketed to prominence over the last three months, having been scouted by fellow female poster and internet veteran NeverGG. NeverGG has been taciturn when asked about Riku’s posting-style, unwilling to disclose too much for fear of compromising the unique air of mystery that surrounds TL’s first female proposter. When pressed for comment, NeverGG had this to say,
It’s because of strong, independent women like Riku that the rest of us can enjoy the respect we have today. All women owe a debt of gratitude to Riku for her courage. Her determination in the face of a hostile world has been nothing short of inspirational.

Of course, Riku hasn’t come from humble beginnings. Trained by Sean Day[9] Plott, Riku has worked hard to perfect her blogging, cementing her fundamentals through the use of a mass-blogging style that closely emulates the scale of content production otherwise unseen outside of Korean proposting houses. She would eventually earn Day[9]’s seal of approval:

For the moment, it is unclear whether Riku will join the rest of the proposters in the Liquid house and what it might mean for the team dynamic. When we asked FuDDx he went quiet for a time before eventually saying,

If Riku does move into the proposting house, commentators have been quick to predict an upsurge in high-quality girl-blogs from well-known posters, especially as the sexual magnetism of posters like Trozz and Milkis comes into play. For this alone, Riku has drawn criticism from other proposters, with Catz commenting that,
It’s possible that female bloggers should stay in their own league; male posters simply can’t be expected to compete on the same terms.
While many believe that Catz has a point, there has been an overwhelming response from fans who want to see the best proposters going head-to-head, regardless of gender.

This is just a marketing ploy from TL. These kinds of recruitment are what is killing the E-Posts scene in addition to the inter-mingling of the Korean's English to English translation (stealing the major league posting)

Has the makings of a good B-teamer but falls short in the adaptation department, seems like he has his own concept of what a good blog should be and uses a very similar italics, picture, wall of text, picture build order in every blog, making it easy for proposters to overcome him with a more novel approach imo

The Korean servers are actually just cheese, mostly cause their mechanics don't allow others to bump threads. Even if you spend hours making a post there and get like 100 comments it does get buried so Koreans just cheese with one liners all day long. It's a different game they play down there.

I personally feel a lot of pro-posters are in it for the wrong reasons. This might be a controversial opinion, but you don't go pro for the ratings, you go pro because you love the forums and want to be the best poster you can be. You'll never make it through the grueling process of spending 18 hours a day practicing your WPM, diction, and style, if you don't actually love the forums.
TL:DR: Post because you love it, not because you want ratings or recognition.

Riku may have exploded onto the scene but her rating post ratio is absolutely horrible. I love her dearly, but until she proves herself in something more than a second GPL, or stays on the scene for a while, I fear that she's just gotten lucky. No posters short of Haji or Konadora can keep up with her blogging performance in terms of sheer quantity macro... and I doubt any poster ever will.
She has prove a lot of the sexist naysayers wrong though about whether females really could compete at the same levels as male top pro-posters.

I'm sorry if this is sort of derailing but...
I have had a hard time finding the motivation/energy to post lately. Ever since early/mid december when my exams started I have barely posted. I found myself too busy up until after christmas and now I just can't get myself to kill off my marine icon. Part of my problem is that since I have been posting so little I haven't been posting as well as I was prior to my break. I need to find some motivation to post again.
I was thinking perhaps I should set a number of posts I have to make everyday and to post those posts. Then, I can post some posts here to get tips on what to improve and continue doing etc. This way I can have motivation to post at least a bit since I will have a purpose to it. Second, this will also help me get better faster since more people will be helping me with my biggest glaring issues.
Currently I'm ~2000pt platinum poster and hoping to post higher over time.
Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated :D

I totally just did that. So instead, I'm going to go with a comparatively safe and boring response.
I doubt Riku can succeed in the pro-posting scene until she gets some depth. Right now, she mostly relies on all-in posts involving creating controversy revolving around herself and then responding to that controversy. There's no real depth to it, and she's going to get shredded until she can find a late-post style that she can work with.
My posting may be one-dimensional, but it's tried and true, and reasonably sound mechanically, and lets me transition to the mid and late-post. The occasional comedic all-in works much better that way, because it's out of nowhere.

As a lowly bronze level blogger, I look up to these proposters and I'm glad that riku is getting the coverage that she rightly deserves and that TL didnt pick her up purely on the shortness of her name, those stats show that.

I don't see why Liquid would bring on a poster with such a relatively poor rating. It's clearly a play for attention, as there are so many more talented posters trying to go pro - but they're male. Such blatant sexism doesn't become one of the foremost posting squads in the field of ESPORTS.

So Riku's pretty good, I've got to admit. Definite S-class material.
