EPTThis is more than disappointing, its also absurd to only have ONE game for WCG, which is Counter Strike. (It had been like that for many years.) History shows our RTS players have better results.
The whole event is poorly organized, and there is still no update in the official website since 7 months ago. The only way players know of this event is from their Facebook page, which has under 10 "posts" since 2011.
There is a few things that I am really disappointing with:
1. No announcement of game titles included until 1 month before the actual national WCG.
2. No announcement of actual date and venue of event until less than 1 month from the events.
3. Still do not announce HOW to register for it, registration and duration is less than 2 weeks.
4. You never know the exact time you need to attend until ONE day before you go, with one phone call.
5. No details rules for the tournament, e.g. Counter Strike: what map, how many per team, any special rules on time, equipment and others?
Does anyone know how the national level WCG is organized? Does Samsung (their sponsor) just outsource it to some random people? Its like they do not even care for the event! I really think this event can be done much better (its hard to make it worse); I also know a lot of people and game magazine companies with much better tournament organizing experience. Why does WCG being hosted by some unknown group who does not even care? Is it possible to apply for hosting the national WCG next year? I do not want those same people to host it again.
All I have now is rage and I hope we can have at least a team with high-school level event organizing skill next time.
