Hello again. So, I did some games today, tried builds against AI, did some 4v4 and 3v3, but just one 1v1. But ultimately I found that to be most satisfying. I won the game somehow, we both played pretty bad, I found that out when checking the replay later on. I could have perhaps ended the game on 10 minutes, but I pulled my forces back and he had the chance to regroup. The game went on for 30 minutes, and what ultimately won the game for me were colossi(I love them big giraffes). It was a PvP by the way, as I'm a "noobie" player mostly, I didn't know exactly what to do after the first push that failed. Chaos ensued after that and I decided what the hell, I'll go into colossus not, see what happens.
It went quite well, for a while he even trapped me in my own base, but for some reason did not push even though he had the superior numbers. I did have the high ground, but still, I think he would have taken me(maybe he thought I had something hidden away in the base or he just wanted to starve me). It was quite chaotic, but I managed the break into his base and when I demolished it, I didn't see the happy-happy message that he hasn't built a new base and will be revealed soon. I freaked out a bit, thought maybe he had a secret base somewhere and it was completely protected, but luckily I found it quick and he wasn't able to get his cannons up.
Just thought I'd write about this here, got nothing better to do anyway . I know I could probably check what build is best against what, but I'll just ask the question here anyway. If the initial push fails with gateway units and a few immortals, what should I transition into? Was my choice to go colossus right or should I have gone for voidray or something instead? Quite embarrassed to say this, but I've never used HT or even DT for that matter.
Okay, well, quite a short post, but what the hell. At least I wrote something here ;P. Cya laterz(z for zerg).
