Advice for New Headphones and Keyboardi

I don't know anything about headsets so any advice there would be appreciated... As for the keyboard I like the backlit keys and that it's mechanical. anyone know of better deals/options from canadian websites?

Sinborn United States275 Posts June 24 2011 20:00 GMT #4 I tried the G35. I thought it was a terribly overpriced product that did not sound good, provide adequate surround or do anything I really desired in a headphone. It also choked my skull with its deathgrip.

They both have many passionate and intelligent people recommending their favorite products. As for myself, I just use a razer blackwidow and razer orca. The headset (orca) isn't great, but it was pretty cheap (around $50). As for the keyboard, I love it. Though it is a bit loud for my liking, I would recommend brown switches.

Mayor United States472 Posts June 24 2011 21:44 GMT #9 The keyboard isn't mechanical, and in your price range I'd rather suggest something like the 6GV2 by Steelseries, which is mechanical, and pretty awesome. Also, It might just be because I'm not the biggest logitech fan, but I'd take the siberias over your choice.

The Cherry Black boards are definitely try-before-you-buy, as some people really hate the feel of that switch (this applies to the ALPS switch board too). As for the headset, do you only intend to game with it, or will it be for music listening as well? (also, would you be willing to tolerate an external microphone since most headsets are targeted at '1337 g4m3rs' and sacrifice both sound quality and microphone quality for aesthetics, useless features, and flashy names)
